It’s easy to say that if you haven’t been in his position. He also inferred that he was hungry, thirsty and tired, whilst also living in fear of imminent arrest. Believers and followers, some of them apostles, or not. They’re human. They all made mistake and had, at the very least, momentary lapses of faith at one point or another. But He’s The God of a Second Chance. That’s what I get out of that. And thank Him for that. I know that I would be sunk otherwise.

The devil is not making you do bad things. He can only tempt you. The decision to do bad things is yours and yours only. Take responsibility and ask God for forgiveness. And you doing good things won't save you. Christianity is not a merit based religion where you can do good things and get saved. Salvation is a free gift so no man may boast in heaven. You only get saved if God chooses to reveal himself to you through the Holy Spirit. If you have faith you're already saved. So what's next? God has a job for you. What's the first thing God wants? For his kingdom to come to earth. Why? Because its his kingdom that will do the greatest amount of good to everyone. So what does God want you to do? There's a specific task God has for you. Something he has only allocated to you. It can be something big as running an entire ministry or something small as supporting a child of God to go buy books and uniforms for school. And maybe this child might end up running a ministry when he grows up. The point is we never know what God's plan is. What we can do is fast and humble ourselves, fast and pray and ask God for what he wants us to do and then do it. That's his will. It's not about doing good things to get saved. Doing good things is only a symptom of having a good relationship with Jesus

@@nickpenaranda725 I can only show you what the Bible says one must do to be saved. Remember what I present is not my opinion. According to the Holy Bible Jesus died on the cross for us as all have sinned and come short of the glory of God, we cannot by our own works or best attempts of being Holy ever go to Heaven, we needed Jesus the son of God. and on the cross Jesus took upon himself all our sins, both the little ones and the big ones both our past sins and future sins and paid for them on the cross. but for us to receive his forgiveness one must NOT repent of sin but simply believe or trust in Jesus finished works on the Cross, because Jesus paid it all. and once you believe or trust in Jesus alone to save you he gives you eternal life meaning once your saved you are always saved. you can't lose your salvation. here is the proof, Acts 16:30-31 And brought them out, and said, Sirs, what must I do to be saved? And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house. Galatians 2:16 Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the faith of Christ, and not by the works of the law: for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified. John 3:36 He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him.
