Feast Ghana was an amazing culinary celebration dedicated to celebrating Otumfuor' Osei Tutu II silver jubilee at the manhyia palace in Kumasi.

I envy our Ghanian brothers, they know how to live. Am from Kenya and we have abandoned our traditional values and rejoice in western live styles . No wonder any African in Diaspora can only feel African and enjoy the rich African culture in Ghana in my country only the turkana and Masai really uphold their traditional values. Much love from🇰🇪

Many thanks, Jonathan! Personally that’s one thing I love about Ghana: the culture. I had the opportunity of living in different parts of Ghana due to my dad’s job and that made me appreciate the diversity of culture across the different regions. Yes there are western influences too especially in the big cities like Accra, but the culture and traditions are preserved.

Am 63 yrs now, growing up,I remember the traditional occasions , Our grandparents in traditional regalia, the songs and dance, the sense of belonging and knowing your people , the food , traditional and healthy and a strict code of conduct that ensured harmony in society but educated by British , Americans and Indians in high school came to love their lifestyles but today I dare say I miss those good old days.

Not to rain on Ghana but in Uganda there's still a lot of African culture. Agree that not much culture left in Kenya unfortunately. Ms Trudy is blessed to be married to Wode Maya.
