Just west of the historic city of Santa Cruz you can find this beach, more of a cove really, nestled on what is the northwestern tip of the Monterey Bay. On a mildly warm summer day like this, the water can be exceptionally clear, the air crisp and the scene relaxing. Crowds are kept at bay by limited parking, so get here early if you plan on visiting on the weekend.
