Hi Gabi. My name is Chris from northern Michigan, USA. I started watching your videos while preparing for a trip to Thailand last January. All of your information about the Thailand Pass, vaccination requirements, and everything else was very helpful. At that time, I met my girlfriend who lives in Chiang Mai in Bangkok and we traveled to Phi Phi, Phuket, and back to Chiang Mai. I fell in love with Chiang Mai while I was there. Here in the Netherlands it's -6°, so at least some warmth from Chiang Mai. In July when I was there it was also pretty crowded with tourists, but great city!

I always enjoy going everywhere in the country. Accommodation is available and very affordable. Coffee shops and small convenient stores everywhere.

i visit plenty of times . stay Mae Rim, hotel Morroco .... Land Phuket or Bangkok . travel via train or bus , sometimes fly Chiang Mai .. Hire motorcycle , start seeing the area ..Have many friends in neighboring provinces

Never been to Chang Mai ... Only been to Old Sukhothai as you know probably the beginning of the north of Thailand ... I just got to comfortable with staying in in different parts of Phuket ie Patong , Karon , Kata , Rawai and Kao Khad

I just came back from 1.5 months in Thailand. Spent 3 weeks in chiang mai again. Tbh I found everything seemed much more expensive. Obviously you can find really good deals if you’re committed but overall I felt I was being charged much more for taxis, food, drink, hotels/hostels and day trips. I understand things have gone up due to inflation but I probably spent double for my trip compared to pre Covid. Especially flights! Still a really great place to visit though.

I’m not surprised about that hotel rates, it’s very dated and it’s not a good location for most tourists, you can’t really walk anywhere. Also the last time I went to Kad Suan Kaew it was very old too, about 10 years ago. These days you have Central Festival, Maya, Central Airport etc. Much more modern and popular.

Hi Gabi, I have been following your videos since me and my wife love travelling in SEA countries - which we have done a few roadtrips in Vietnam on motor bikes! We are planning a 3wks roadtrip in Dec 23 Thailand > Malaysia > Singapore just asking for some tips for foreighners renting a motorbike in Thailand and Malaysia ( a Honda like the one you use in Changmai would be alwsome! ). I have an Australian International Driver Permit - will that be OK ?
