Lisa Kestel visits the state capital of Lower Saxony and strolls through the Herrenhausen Gardens, explores the New Town Hall and of course the typical dish "Kanzlerplatte" and the traditional drink "Lüttje Lage" should not be missing from "Ein Tag in Hannover".

Whether in the historic old town or in the trendy Linden district with a beer - there are many great places to discover in Hanover. A city forest twice the size of Central Park in New York, the magnificent Herrenhausen Gardens or Europe's only arched elevator in the New Town Hall - Hanover is so much more than a trade fair city and perfect Standard German. Almost 540,000 people live in the Leine metropolis, including more than 50,000 students.
A city that is definitely worth a trip. What do you think? Let us know in the comments!
