get the reflux checked a common cause other than acid is h pylori theirs a breath test for it. its a major cause of ulcers ,and stomach cancer the bacteria easily treated. and even if cancer it needs to be caught as early and its surgical no chemo or radiation my mom had both and lived almost 30 yrs longer to 97 . don't put off a real doctor if you have pain more than a week most problems when found early get fixated easer than letting it go .
