Refreshing to see a pro suffer a bit... here in Canada this is an annual event for us "recreational" course skiers. Most put the ski away late in September and take it back out in late May. June July August September is our season... If you are really stupid like I am you will push it and stop skiing late October and start in late April so you get a couple more months... at the expense of body parts usually... But if you are really really lucky, like I am.... you have a friend with a place in Winter Haven Florida and get to visit for a week in November and a week in March so only three months missed... Thanks for all your videos. Watching you via TWBC at Hilltop this weekend! Tough field... 3@10.25 to qualify is insane!

You are Lucky. In belgium on rivers we are forebiden to ski from mid septembre up to begin june. Because they are afraid we disturb the poor fishes !

Had a double double cheeseburger 🍔 w/ grilled onions & extra pickles just 4 u mate ! Headed down to Pentalago Florida end of the month to finalize a lot we bought there, see u there someday ? Get a dry suit it’ll help a lot ! 🍻

Ooo man I'm jealous! Tried drysuits in the past but found wetsuits better as it has a thicker barrier if material from the cold. My only real issue is my hands when slaloming which I haven't found anything to help other than dunking in warm water!

Haha, it was better! But for my opening line length it could definitely be better 😂 yes it was, looking very wintry with the winter boat in!

@@RobHazelwood I did my first ever competition there in 1991. Slept in a caravan at the side of the lake with all my pals. Great memories! Keep the videos coming mate.

We ski in 0C water and air in Sweden. I have never seen anybody in need of hot water. Does not seem to help. Why?

Hi Rob, thanks for all the videos you upload defiantly helps with the winter Blues! Out of interest after a 2 month break or so how many sets would you expect to take before being back to where you left off? Also would you start out running passes at the same line length to work on form (I’m guessing 28off) or would you keep cutting the line?

Hi Guy, Thank you! I Will do a video on this when I get back going but this depends on lots of things, mainly how much of a rush am I in (how close is the first tournament). this would dictate how quickly I start to move down the line but I usually they to push myself down once I feel like my first pass feels slow again (usually 1 our 2 sets). Then start to move on with the same idea. I tend to be quicker to move down the line that others as I believe you have to ski differently for the very short lines but its very important I feel confident again before this

Gidday Rob From summer in New Zealand.I am glad to see I am not the only crazy one to ski in the winter.We use a dive hood to stop the brain freeze.Great stuff Hapy Daz Andrew
