Pretty much anyone can do a business in usa once you settle down a bit. Now doing halal or haram business is up to individuals. I noticed alcohol in cooler in this gas station which is owned by this pakistani and there are many pakistani personally I know who owns multiple gas station and highest profit mark up in these gas stations are in alcohol. These pakistan gas station business person feel very proud and raise their family on this business. In short there are other ways to be rich or make money in business instead of gas station where u must sell alcohol for high profit margin.

Well some Pakistanis dont care about Halal and Haram as long as they are making money and having a good life. Like you said anybody can take out a loan and buy a business or start a business and a convenience store business is a good profit margin is good and lots of EBT money in these businesses I myself holding myself not to do any business which includes haram I rather make less money then have a lavish life for myself and for my kids.
