(8/30) Here is a little update of what I've been up too. I'm not even gonna promise when i'll upload a video next.

I honestly love working at FedEx Ground Delivery, in my Opinion its a lot better than Amazon DSP Delivery, seems a lot more organized with the Routing etc , the benefits are not as good but cant have it all, the route im on is sweet 85 stop's and 180 packages and a few pickups, at Amazon i had 210 stops and 300+ packages i literally had to run none stop,no break , no lunch just run packages for 10 hours, i also like that im able to do the route the way im comfortable and more efficient, last but not least i dont have Dispatch calling me every 20 minutes rushing me to deliver. Amazon was good to start out with but it's not a career its not Guaranteed, just waking up and knowing my job will be there takes a lot of stress away.

I just did a day of training on the road, and I don’t think the job is for me because I can’t lift and move the heavier packages. The Fedex location is 10 minutes from my place, and the Contractor is great, but if I can’t do the job by myself to standard, then I have to walk away.

I start FedEx Ground 2/6/23. And work at Home Depot part time a few nights, A great combo! So much better then office jobs

That’s good to hear! Would you recommend it over an office job any day of the week? You seem like you enjoy it plus you do real estate on side? What time you finish during the day on your route?

@@michaelcemach8726 I was doing it 5 days a week during peak (Xmas time) and it was pretty tiring. Especially if I was trying to go fast all day to get off earlier. I would switch quite often between routes. On normal days, with no pick ups, I would finish around 2:30pm and get to the terminal at like 2:45. During peak, with 175+ stops I would get to the terminal between 3:30 or 4:30. Latest 5:00. And that was my running every stop. I no longer am working there because I was looking for better pay, and wasn’t a fan of my body being tired after work cause I do like the occasional physical activity like playing volleyball or running

Do I need a CDL to be a FedEx driver? Do the trucks have fm radios?

The average truck that FedEx Ground contractors use does not require a CDL license. The biggest trucks they have are like one pound under the requirement of needing a CDL license. The contractor that I worked for had truck that had radio and bluetooth

I used to work for fedex ground back in nov-dec 2022 but I quit the job because the contractor that hire me said that she would pay $180 a day 6 days a week she kept her word but then all the sudden she started paying me $100 a day in cash keep in mind I was working from 8am-8pm I confronted her and she was coming up with bullshit excuses about the company. Plus we didn't have ipads for navigation we had to learn the streets and routes by memory I just had a bad experience with fedex ground thats all.

Yeah, I am in kinda the same situation. This contractor I work with plays the favorite game. I have been here a month and a half, and they did not train me at all. They expect you to know what to code the packages. They told me I could call with any questions and they never answered the phone. It all depends on the contractor. I love the job but I need more training so I can do the job the best for FedEx and the contractor.

Once we finish we leave and gotta finish before kids get out of school and ppl get off work to crowd the freeways… I feel you bro I’m done 1230 everyday and back at the house chillin🫡🤘🏾
