@@ForeverJamm Your welcome😊 I watched your 5 tips for a caregiver that was super helpful! If you have anymore tips and tricks that would be awesome. Other topics I'm interested in would be: icebreakers/ getting to know your client especially when you are new to them and they are new to you, activities and ways to keep things fun while being productive ( like how you practiced speech therapy while on your walk to change the environment.. loved that!) Lastly vlogs like this one... even if it's repetitive each day brings about different experiences and I would love to see/ hear how your day went. I know that was a mouthful.. lol you asked and I'm super interested! And thank you I'm super excited I go in for training tomorrow🤓😁😇🙏🏽💜

I did live in care which was cool but your literally in bondage. U have to be in the house 24/7 u get paid for 11-12 hours but have to be there 24 hours $200 a day I used to get paid 1,135 a week which was nice but it’s people making that amount who go home and have their weekends off. It literally started to mess with my mental health. My life was work 🤦🏽‍♀️I had no life
@ForeverJamm
@ForeverJamm 10 ай бұрын
I don’t think I could do live in!! I went home and I still felt like my mental health was horrible. I think one part about caregiving that people don’t know talk about is the effect it has on your mental health and the amount of times your responsibilities can increase but not your pay.

How do you make time to have a life I'm never allowed to go out or hang out with my friends I'm always forced to do things for my parents
@ForeverJamm
@ForeverJamm Жыл бұрын
Are you a family caregiver? I’m a lot older now but when I did have to care for my mom I wasn’t allowed to go out or hang out with friends as well. If you can try to make a schedule and make sure you set aside time for you even if it’s just going on TikTok or KZfaq to start.

@@ForeverJamm yea I only work 2 hours a day.my mother usually allows me to get my hair done on Friday which I'm off but even doing something as easy as that she won't let me have me time it's always phone calls on unauthorized hours or her wanting to know each time I move out of the chair when getting my hair done I can never sit there and just relax if I do ask to go out with my friends it's always no so I just told them I can't go out stop asking and ended all my friendships
@ForeverJamm
@ForeverJamm Жыл бұрын
@@paigeandcedsister I was actually in a similar situation growing up and I didn't start making friends or socializing until I moved out in my late 20s. To this day I still don't have many friends and feel like I missed out. I really don't understand why parents keep their children from socializing and only want them to work and take care of things for them. I hope that you will be able to have a different outcome compared to me and have friends and fun soon!!! Have you talked to your parents about it?
