I am sure you know this, but when hammering on a threaded bolt, rod, anchor. Screw the nut a couple threads on and hammer on the nut. It will protect the threads and make your life easier when you go to put the nut on later to secure the anchor.

I would have used an LL out of the breaker box instead of an LB. Or use an LL and LR and have your covers on top, makes life easier.

I use flavour tonic water to help with legs after a workout. Milwakee do a sealant gun for tube cement or sealant. This excellent at delivering the right amount. Saves the hand squeeze if doing a lot of sealing. As a concrete specialist, I would use PY4, for levelling for bases, Hilti cement for bolts and anchors or for 45 minute workability, Choc a Bloc made by CT1. CT1 is also good for working in wet conditions or even underwater

Knockouts are great and sometimes I use the smaller ones to make the knockout hold for the bigger unit. Just so I can keep the drill bit down to 1/4 inch. Not fan of the christmas tree bit as its is a knuckle buster.

00:01 💊 Advil for not feeling well before starting work. 00:35 👓 Using a lock nut to mark center before drilling holes. 01:08 🔩 Working on the transformer, facing physical strain from previous gym workout. 02:10 🥪 Lunch consists of a Black Forest ham sandwich, chocolate cookies, and drinks. 02:58 🔧 Introducing new tools: 10in angled diagonal cutters from Knipex. 03:21 🔩 Bolting down the transformer and using anchoring adhesive for concrete. 05:18 🛠 Using an impact and tap bit to manage knockout holes efficiently.

I did cut my finger tendons and it’s been almost 5 years and my hand still not feeling ok and I was wearing gloves but they weren’t thick enough to prevent the piece of metal to cut straight through my tendons so I definitely recommend gloves even when it’s hard to grab things and wear safety glasses at all times.

As a note on setting the bolts in the epoxy to hold the transformer down... First, I buy the SET-3g (simpson epoxy) - I THINK it's stronger, and yes it takes a special 2 tube gun, but I REALLY like that I can buy extra tips at about $5 each so I can use that tube for a dozen or more projects. I always let it set at least 90 minutes before cranking on it. Second, on tapping the bolt in with your pliers... fine, but - if you set the nut %80 of the way on before hitting it - you are FAR less likely to damage the threads. (which means you can hit it a bit harder if you need to.) I will say this though, I VASTLY prefer the epoxy solution (regardless of which one it is) to the redhead expanding anchors. Those have always seemed sketchy to me.

Did you vacuum out the dust from the holes? if you didn’t the epoxy will never adhere and pull out! You even have to wire brush out the hole to get the sides clean and then re-vacuum
