There is no age limit as long as you can make the team you can play, of course you need to be a member of the college so if you have your bachelors degree you can always go back and get your master degree. 😊 I believe a soccer player from West Virginia University has his bachelors degree and stayed to get his masters degree and still stayed on the team so it’s very possible. Dream as high as you want. 🎉

There will be obviously far ahead better players than you, you would have to train about 2 times a day most likely to reach college level, unless you have a hidden talent in soccer that you never knew.

You’re potential to play at the highest level would be substantially cut if you just started pursuing a professional contract at 16-18 years old. You’re competing against players who’ve been playing the game for the last decade. At 16 years old though you still have time on your side. You can sign a professional contract in 7-10 years with the right training and coaching staff supporting you. Finding the right team to kick start your football career will be the most difficult part of your journey. Nobody will want to give you a chance considering your age and prior experience. You’ll most likely have to train on your own or with a PT for 6-12 months before you’d even be considered at a local club tryout.

certain sports like contact sports are late to start but soccer isn’t contact so you should be good for sure put your heart out
