Their main responsibility is the safety and security of passengers, then the crew, then the aircraft. They go through rigorous training which involves dealing with countless emergencies, fires and are proficient swimmers. They undergo a daily knowledge oral test before each shift to ensure their knowledge is maintained. The drinks and snacks part is the least trained and least important.

Never open , from inside , an aircraft door ( assumed that the slide is disarmed) without ground equipment outside, high risk of falling down exist, just an advise from a line aircraft engineer

Me too. I saw a Safety film at Us airways with a Pilot that was demo ing to Safety reps how he fell 30 ft out of a A380 door. He opened the door to show them, And fell Again. He retired.😂😂😂😂!!!

You do it loads as Crew. You have to, on occasion. People have fallen, though. A lot of the time time downroute they take the steps away without asking. You go to the door there's just a big hole 😂

Meu neto é comissário de vôo,mas tem 21 anos esperando por essa oportunidade de trabalho ,pensa num homem responsável,atencioso e prestativo,poIs foi militar não conseguiu seguir carreira militar era soldado,mas já pensava nessa carreira,fez curso em 2003 com muita dificuldade mas fez,não conseguiu vender o carro para se manter em São Paulo,voltou para Brasília,mas almeja entra e viver essa vida que é linda,e puxada e tem privações.Deus abençoe vc. Ps. Hoje ele tem 45 anos e quando vê qualquer pessoa independente se tem dificuldade,classe social,raça ajuda e procurar ser prestativo e atenciosos.

Well, it's something all of us, not just her, had to do every year in recurrent training so if you don't have the stuff, you can't work there. You would also be expected to open the door in an emergency which is the reason we attended two days of recurrent every year

Used to travel from Europe to the US on the jump seat when the flight was fully booked. My god then I traveled inside the cockpit with the pilots that was amazing.

I think all cars should have seat belts exactly like that one she's using. That seat belt is Waaay safer than a 1 strap shoulder belt.

And they cram too much button/screen information overload going on the dash, center stack area and people can't seem to buy a smart phone holder and gotta hold on to the phone while driving So it's time to up the seat belt safety level to a four point seat belts like this flight attendant has or like race cars have.

My wife is the Sr. Pres. where she works, but when she was in college, she worked as a flight attendant (F/T in the summer, P/T during non-summer peak periods, and casual/on-call during the the school year.). She has a friend who went “lifer”, despite also having a college degree.
