Our #PhD Student Karim recently visited the Dalton Cumbrian Facility to continue researching Nuclear Materials. Karim is part of Dr Sam Humphry-Baker's group.
As part of the team, Karim used the facility to simulate #nuclear bombardment and gain insights about how materials perform over their lifetime in nuclear fusion reactors ☢️

This stuff is too cool. Facility looks completely undecipherable but it's still quite cool, even if your schedule sounds a bit lonely with people taking turns/shifts. Isn't it overwhelming working with all of that specialized gear though?
