This is a really good video! It is a very useful video for young children to watch and learn more about jobs that they can see around them! Moreover, this man is a positive one and is definitely one who can positively influence the people around him! Kudos to Mothership for producing such a video (with good/proper language that can be showed in schools!).

For too long govt has disregarded the contribution of them..... And many others in the non- high tech industries... Folks like delivery, security, cleaners, plumbers, construction workers....etc... How can the public respect them if govt don't. Lets hope Govt don't do only lip services... But truly appreciate them.

@@Prometheus574 Its one of the reason why their locals are willing to take up hard labor jobs. Even in the UK, their own locals take up construction jobs. Singapore not giving proper pay for workers.

This is one of the rare security companies which pays its staff well. Of course the client must be enlightened enough to know why they are paying much more. 72hrs work week won't attract young generations join the industry.

Always security job, lazy job, sit and take salary, always sleeping this is the words most people use to security. Sometime they've done a good performance but still there blame. Security always no respect because they are just guard.

The harsh reality true of Singapore employability market created last 10 to 20 years govt ignore which resulted every human being in Singapore has only 20 years of working ability in their life and hitting age 40 and above, u r either retrenched or force early retirement at 55 and for survival turn to other job which is utimately security guards and toilet cleaners and plate cleaners. The policy creators implement policy only benefit themselves but not the common man and never rectify and improve and so now after 10 to 20 years, then awakened, policy creator is the cause of all these employment landscape issue and they have to find solution.. The effects. So the cause and effects on how it come about.. Do not blame common man. We are force by circumstances and policy creator they create policy without knowing the ground work people feeling and impression, they are the creator of all these image that common man perceived which resulted poor pay and image. They are lousy leadership with no sense of the true reality of low pay job position because they do not walk the talk, they only talk and talk. Why not have a program and ask the policy maker, be it minister to role play to taste the job like security, toliey cleaner, bus driver and dish washer for 1 weeks and thrn write an review report on how much should be paid after trying these job. That's is then called walk the talk.. 😂 😂

A job is just another transaction. Companies pay you money and in turn you provide the labour. As with any and every transaction, you will definitely try to get the best deal possible. Saying companies "exploit" their workers is stupid. If the workers are willing to sell their time for the amount paid then who the hell are you to tell the companies thay they should be paying more?
