Well, no matter how famous, the life of a ballet dancer is hard work, commitment, and repetition, repetition, repetition... every day. This is probably more like a day in Sergei Polunin's life than some fans might imagine...

an extraordinary young man - Ukranian beauty inherited from his father, clear about his goals in life and amazing of him to put his life through his scrutiny especially as he lost his motivation for dance only a few years ago... he regained the passion and gives even more to this very demanding life in ballet. Russia does produce these incredible atheletes

Sergei is wonderful to watch, utterly incredible. I just wish the audience wouldn't attempt to clap to the beat of the music - it's always off tempo and distracts from his performance.

Unfortunately, I see that as well. Surely with all his gifts he'll be able to be happy one day soon. He has so much support out here. I hope he knows that we all love him so and wish him all the best.

Definitely, he had a lot of pressure put on him. Too many influencial people tended to forget that Sergei was only in his early twenties when he started being very depressed and fed up with the demands of the institution he joined when he was only 13. I have always felt for him. It is such a shame that there was no one there for him at the right time to help him emotionally. I fear that he may always feel such a sadness... On a different note, he is also so photogenic, absolutely fabulous on every single picture... Such a gem! 🥰 He

Nice one Pam, you have some talent putting together these posts, what would I do without you LOL. I love the stage make up, especially when it just looks like guyliner, it suits him, but what wouldn't. He makes a good model also is there anything he isn't good at?? I would give my well lets say little finger to do a shoot with him. I don't actually remember seeing Baryshnikov or Nureyev dancing although I remember seeing a part in one post, I don't think it was one of yours, but there was a lovely scene in it when he is lying on a couch cuddling a large framed photo of Nureyev which was really endearing (I seem to use that word a lot when I talk about Sergei - strange that :D). It was nice to see him doing a few of his amazing moves, in the practice and performance part, he flies around as if he had wings I would rather watch him than anything else. He moves me totally.xxxxxxx

Thanks Suzi. I do believe the scene you're referring to was in my Exquisite Torture video.. I'll have to go look. I, too, love that. Nureyev was even more important to Sergei than just being an idol for him to look up to. It was the Nureyev Foundation that sponsored him at the Royal Ballet School.
