Thank you for this video. It was very insightful for me & my husband. I will be needing an upgrade from my 2013 Escape & the Bronco Sport is on my short list. I am needing a snow & mountain capable vehicle which can fit my family in the future. Not quite ready for the size of an Explorer yet. I'm a fan of the weatherized flooring; would be great for wet snowboarding gear!

I've always missed my late 80's Bronco II, but didn't like the tire being on the back. Now I can get that same "small boxy SUV" with all the latest safety features, decent gas mileage, great looks...all for the same price as comparable crossovers. Oh, and I get the AWD for the occasional bad weather days.

When the kids were young, the rear facing car seat fit perfectly in the middle of my 2012 Ford Focus so I have no doubt the Bronco Sport will do just fine in that configuration.

Do you have a pic of the Sync version in the about screen? Iirc, I think the first couple of Bronco Sport's are shipping with Sync 3, but upgradeable to Sync 4 when they release in 2021. A lot of the other 21MY Ford models don't have Sync 4 yet, that I've seen so far. This may be a small detail for many, but as a salesman, this is actually kind of important to know.

You speak of the big brother Bronco which is impressive for sure. But for me the Bronco Sport badlands will be fine, because i search more a city suv which can go off road with good ground clearance and 4x4 for snow, as i live in Canada.

You probably should have mentioned that stuff like B&O stereo, lane centering, adaptive cruise control, leather steering wheel are NOT standard in the Badlands, but are in various optional packages.

They didn’t announced any bronco sport hybrid or plug in. There are rumors for a big brother bronco hybrid i think. But it is only rumors, as battery are heavy. Only a bif bronco could maybe have capabilities for a battery. However when solid state battery will arrive in 2025/2028, i could see a phev bronco sport super powerful with good mpg and long range but not right now.

Yes, but then the steering wheel is too high. Then you can lower the steering wheel, but the dash is too high.

FYI for those of you who are interested in the auto pilot features. The copilot 360 offered on the bronco sport is nice, but the lane centering does kinda ping pong in the lane a little too much for me. The Edge's copilot was smarter at staying straight.

I’d trade in my current SUV if not for the turbo-only engine choices. Ford is using these for the higher mileage ratings but the Ecoboost turbo engines don’t hold up over time.

Note *SYNC 3 in the Bronco Sport, it is not SYNC 4. Great video but that is kind of a big deal to remove any confusion. In other words no live over the air updates or apple car play over the air it requires a cable to work :)

I really like this vehicle, if only it didn't take Ford to come to market with their Broncos (I got a wrangler instead). I just don't know who would choose an Escape over this. It will be interesting to see what this does to Escape sales. I almost feel like Ford needs to ditch it and bring Focus and Fusion Active to the market. I just don't see enough of a difference to have both models.

I am a Jeep guy since high school. Going on 40 consecutive years, minus one or two year lapses, with a Jeep. Current is a firecracker red 2019 JLU. But paying $40-90k for one is damaging my brain. You have me thinking. Still Jeeps last. FJs don’t. Thunderbirds don’t. Blazers didn’t, previous Broncos didn’t. Now that Ford has gone woke, not much will. Ford is in a heyday right now, but……I’m 72. Been there done that, don’t try to convince me. I know better. Still, I am impressed, I am interested. Maybe one more year of observation,and then-if I am still alive.

Bronco Sport exterior looks amazing (superb design). However, I went and actually test drove this vehicle (Badlands) and was pretty disappointed with the interior quality (too much plastic on the dash, subpar sound system, and steering wheel felt like cheap plastic) - also the backseat - way too cramped and I'm only 5'5 (should have included a tilt or slide option as in many compact SUVs). I know I will need to spend at least $42k USD to get a fancier interior on a higher level trim (ew on the brown leather). If you have the money, go for it, but at that price range - there are better alternatives (rav4 prime, Q5, etc.)

The badlands package extra ( leather seat brown ) is supposed to have heating leather steerimg wheel. Strange. It is not plastic. Maybe you had the model without the badlands luxury package. The badland by default have normal wheel. I also recommend ford assist+ to have line centering assist and cruise control dynamic. The rav4 has also some issues. Noisy cabin (when in hybrid mode), the heating system is not good with cold weather under -7C like here in canada. The gas engine start immediately and does not heat the cabin well. The remote start is not always working, the roof rack was not super solid. The seat are not as confortable than the bronco, and the passenger seat is only 4 way electric on the top end package. But overall the rav4 prime is a good vehicle but not as capable than the bronco sport in real off road. The front spoiler on the rav4 prime make it ridiculous to go in rock crawl, .the under frame battery make the rav4 dangerous to go in high water. And rav4 have plastic protection plate, when bronco has metal 3mm bash plates. And the battery has to be changed after 10/12 years on the rav4 prime. With the bronco you spend more in gas, but you don’t have to buy an expensive battery 6000-10000$ after 10/12 years. Bronco is 23.6 inches water fording, 30 degree and 33 degree attack and departure angle, real 4x4 suspension for high speed 4x4 and more capable off road 4x4 rear dual clutch. Better and more solid roof accessories and trailer hitch is far less expensive than the rav4 hitch. The tyres are real 29 inches off road on the bronco, but city tyres on the rav4 prime. You can simply add a jackery 1000 with 2 solar 100w panel to the bronco, and you have a real deal package for camping.

Meh. I know it's not the point of the video, and other reviewers will cover this soon, but I want to know how it compares to other compact/sub-compact cuv's/suv's. I think Ford is really screwing themselves on the price point and small size. Also, I would have liked to see something that competes (dimensions wise) with the Forester, Rav 4, Outback (they need something between the Bronco and Bronco Sport). This would be a consideration of mine as a Forester replacement, but I'd be giving up cargo and passenger space. It competes more with the Compass and Crosstrek, and for the money, I'd rather get a fully loaded Crosstrek Sport/base Forester or Outback + addition of overlanding add-ons. The price is also bordering on above entry-level prices for mid-size suv's (it's in Atlas, Sorento/Santa Fe, Ascent, Highlander, Grand Cherokee territory). Would consider a base Bronco, but need better mpgs, and it looks like they will not be available until at least 2100. Oh, that interior is extremely chintzy for the price as well.
