I have them the chance to board the Silver Wave with I.James & Scott, for a day of fishing to sea snails. In good weather, calm seas, I have observed the removal of lockers in the famous bay of Scapa Flow near the town of Stromness in Orkney islands north of Scotland.
I await your comments with pleasure and see you next year ....

Very efficient operation. I assume the grates select out undersized. My questions are: Are the barrel creels weighted with concrete, and do the whelks enter from the top of the creel (in the hole in top centre of the netting) ?

The very bay where the famous German submariner Gunter Prien penetrated and sank a large English warship! Apparently, those old ships that were sunk before the war, in order to prevent the penetration of submarines, still remained at the entrance of the bay, Prien described this case in his memoirs when he penetrated inside the bay itself for his attack.

Seems very strange to use Crab to catch whelks. using one sea food to catch another. i thought the crab would be worth more than the whelk.
