I haven’t ever done sourdough because of the thought of being tied to so many strict rules. By watching my first Fermenting February, I have gained so much confidence and knowledge to give SD a try. I’m on day 6. Thanks to everyone!

You can also use that sour dough as a breading for something like Chicken Nuggets, or Fish and it makes the best Corn Fritters and Hush Puppies I've ever had. Just saying.

This video just moved in to my top 5 or 6 of collaboration! I do okay when I have discard once a week (I am keeping my starter in the frig) but now I can do the daily feed and have recipes for using the discard. I learned a lot, and have quite a few recipes to try my fermenting skills. Thank you so much for a great collaboration.

I don’t usually have discards because I only break out the starter when I want to bake and feed it twice before using. But these recipes look amazing.

I wish I had known there were discard recipes this simple when I was making sourdough. I gave up on it when I had back surgery last year and I haven't started a new one, but I think it's time! 😁

Had some health issues recently and sourdough is about all I can digest. I really want to try to make it, and appreciate the recipes for the discard. I've never participated in Fermented February and I can't imagine why! I love fermented foods and have been making milk kefir for going on 15 years, I'm pretty new to making sauerkraut but I love it and have begun experimenting with various additions.

Will definitely be trying some of these discard recipes. I've had my sourdough going for over 3 weeks now! I still cannot believe it started from my old sourdough back in March 2021! I had dehydrated some and just stuck it in the freezer. Now it's bubbly, delicious and able to make all the things.
