I love biking and that would be an epic ride but serious challenge! I rode through the SW parts of Ireland (Dingle, Killarney, etc..) and that was amazing.

Once went up there in early spring to get to the top and pass a road closed sign that we had to move out of the way so we could get down into Applecross. Stunning views but a little bit dicy on the drive back down

I used to drive a class 2 Brakes lorry over that road twice a week to deliver to the Applecross inn. Always an experience and one I certainly don't miss!!

You where right about Scotland looking like New Zealand(kiwi). I was in Kiwi in 2008 and those hills where green all the way to the top. Looking forward to see how the Isle of Skye looks !!!

It was great seeing your journey, we were lucky to have done this in May this year but did not have the benefit of the drone. What a fantastic road and views. We visited Sky and the Hebrides and they were fantastic.

I just went to Skye this weekend. It was incredible. The views down from glenbrittle up the mountains are incredible and the fairy pools area. Some of our favourite views in Scotland were on the A82 between Loch Lomond and glencoe, and also the views at glen nevis. Hope you had an amazing time in Scotland xx

We were so lucky doing Applecross , the sun came out and it was quiet. Not as scary as I expected but I imagine mid summer it would be crazy. The coast road at the other end towards Torriden is absolutely spectacular if you do it again. We did the same Fairy Pools park up and it was rammed last week too.

Only recently discovered your channel and only juat saw this. Upload was 2 months ago, wonder if that was when the mrs and i were up there. Had a few nights in edinburgh then drove to oban for the week then back through penrith. Last year we had a big scottish trip, lake district then up to loch lomond for a few days, drove all the way to isle of skye (we didnt take the ferry). Then came back to inverness and down through the national park. That drive from loch lomond past fort william and onto isle of skye was one of the most amazing experiences, 6 hours of absolute beauty. Felt like i was in skyrim. Would love to drive it again someday.

First trip down Applecross it was very foggy so I followed the postman in his LDV 400 and me in a MGF. I couldn't keep up the nutter was handbrake turning the hairpins and driving like it was a clear sunny day and nothing was going to come the other way.

just got back myself from Scotland, bit of a different experience being older. We went to isle of Skye last year (fairy glen and man of stor) absolutly stunning. this year we went to fairy pools. amazing scenery when I managed to get a look, I hate heights, and left a brown mark on the car park, being an old man I even failed to get across the water! :( I wanted to go to Bealach na Ba, but had a really bad experience on hardnott pass, ended up having to reverse back down late at night in the rain, just could not get traction, so it has really put me off, extremely steep and tight hair pin bends. the tammy dashcam has some footage, not great as its just dash cam and at night, defiantly not for the faint hearted.

Provided you take it steady and respect the other road users it's fine. I took our 7m motorhome over the road last year without any issues.

Drove back from Skye dec 21 during storm Arwen & some of the roads were pretty hairy, especially as we came off of the isle down through the highlands and it was snowy & wintery AF. Beautiful place though, not fun to drive back down to southwest England in one go though.

from applecross you should of done the whole loop road the coast its stunning loads of places to stop it takes you back to loch carron
