Bro what I love about Hulvey is that he’s not just a guy who says he’s a Christian rapper just to get it done and over with and then raps about random things like his past life or things he struggles with (not that there’s anything wrong with that), but he actually is the closest thing to the definition of a CHH artist, making music that actually is praising the Lord, and 99% of it is uplifting! The cool part how down to earth Man of God he is with folks is real. My wife and I brought our teenagers to see him and he took pictures with them then later after the concert he liked my throw-back 116 Jersey I bought years ago and we chatted it up and took more pictures with my wife, kids, and me. I love Christopher Hulvey, he is such a good example of what it means to live for Christ. He is so humble and so calm and loving, he is not just shouting "REPENT", he is shouting "REPENT" through his actions and preaches about Jesus in his music. He preaches Jesus both by word and mouth, not just word. And this isn't to glorify Hulvey, this is to glorify God, to see what God can do in someones life. From someone basically telling them they were going to hell to inviting others to say "Holy Spirit come into my life." Man God is so amazing and I wish christians were more loving like Chris. Instead of tryna be the coolest Christian or the funniest Christian, hulvey is just focused on being the most loving one and as born again Christians, thats what we should all be doing. I tried being that "funny Christian" because I thought if I was funny they would find that I'm just like everybody else, I'm not a religious lunatic but really I just looked annoying. I was shouting about Christ but I wasn't living for Him and I still struggle to do that today, I want to say I love Jesus but more importantly I wanna love Him through my actions (John 14:15, James 2:26), and I wanna love others like Jesus. I don't wanna be the funny guy, I wanna be the light in the world (Matthew 5:13-16). I was tryna be like everyone else to bring people to Christ but really I gotta be DIFFERENT than everyone else. When normally someone would hate someone for punching them, I would turn the other cheek, when normally someone would hate someone for falsely accusing them, I would forgive them, when people would normally be inpatient with the waiters at restaurants, I would be patient and tell them to take their time and tell the chef that they made super delicious food and that I appreciate what they cook up for us. I praise the Lord for this because it makes me so happy thinking about living for Jesus and being that light in that world, it's so much better than being in the stage light. I don't want people to shout my name but I want people to shout praises to HIS name when they see the love of Jesus in me. I want them to see my light but not my quote and quote light, rather my Light with a capital L meaning it's not my light but Jesus's Light. The Light they see isn't how amazing I am but how amazing HE is, that's what I want and I lay it all down for You Jesus, my desires, my dreams, my struggles, my doubts, my anxieties I lay it all down at Your feet Jesus, and I give You my life and I repent on my sins, I take this step in faith, I don't know how I'll live for You but I will have faith in You, I won't trust my own strength but Your strength LORD God, have mercy on me and forgive me of my sins in Jesus name, amen
