Has someone renumbered that BR class 4 tank loco'? Last I saw they had 80135.

Keith Parker very observant! BR Standard class 4 tank No. 80135 is at the NYMR, as is No. 80136. Both are ex- Brighton works mashines and both initially based (I think) at Plaistow shed. However, don’t take my word for it, as I live in Germany. Someone on the NYMR should be able to confirm that. As far as I am aware, 80136 has not been renumbered. Stay safe 👍🏻

@@flippop101 Thanks for your response. Just looked it up, don't know why I didn't think of ot earlier. It seems BOTH loco' are at NYMR. When I was young I used to work on repairing those loco's at Derby Loco' Works. Must say, I never saw a cracked frame on a BR loco'. Some of the old company loco's were notorious, especially the Stanier 3 cyl. 2500 class tanks. Look up how quickly they disappeared when D.M.Us arrived Yet many of the older Fowler tanks carried on for a while. Best wishes.

@@flippop101 Further to my earlier response, an old inspector from the LMS days at Derby Loco Works told me that the best 2-6-4T loco's were the Fairburns. I do not know what he based his observations on, I wish I had been much more observant when I was there. I understand that 2 Fairburn tank loco's survive but I do not know where they are.

Standards take a while to warm through, and being the first movement of the day, it's better to leave them open rather than risk damage.

I would be grinning from ear to ear if I were in his seat. Lol..
