Today we leave the Chianti area and move to the Val d’Orcia region for a day trip to Pienza.
This valley, crossed by the Orcia river, is a large protected area that has been part of the World Heritage Site since 2004, famous for its breathtaking landscapes with centuries-old cypresses, and for its beautiful small towns. Among all of them I decided to explore the city of Pienza.
Pienza is a charming small town, known as the perfect city of the Renaissance thanks to its beautiful harmonious builidngs and streets, but it's also famous for its delicious pecorino!!!!
