Also, we have some sad news that happened recently, that I wasn't planning to share... but then decided those of you that are faithful followers deserve to know...

Xander is pure joy! You did a very right thing to honor him, with a special time. He will always remember this day. You made a great big deposit into his memory of having a loving and caring mother.

I love this. You can spoil him and still teach him the value of a dollar. He knows how far his money will go, but understands you gave him more because that day was special. How can you not buy him all the things on a day like that? He is pure joy and is so grateful. That's how you know you're raising a kid right. You can spoil him occasionally and it doesn't go to his head.

@@theMennoniteMom we made some serious mistakes in this area with our son. We course corrected but the damage was felt for years. As parents we want to give good things but over indulgence hurts them. Keep up the good work Nolan & Jeannine!❤️

No judgment ever! sponge is precious just like his master. Definitely a difficult situation but you handled it so lovingly. I have said before how much I love your honesty and your desire and ability to share the happy times and the trials. I feel that’s when God is holding our hand. How fortunate are we?

Such a good mommy. What a special day for Xander. I am so sorry about little Bubbles, I cried and know it is sad. In 2020 we lost our little Maltese Dali, she was 16 yrs, and a year later we lost Lulu, she was 17, and still there is empty space with them gone, both little girls. We now have a little boy, Fred (a name my late son used to love and wanted to know why I didn't name him Fred.). Glad to see Xander got another furry friend to grow up with.

I'm so sorry for your family's loss of bubbles. I agree, accidents do happen, and it must have been devastating. I'm glad you and Xander got to spend a beautiful day together! It was so precious to see Xander and Spunge sitting next to each other on the stairs. They truly look like best friends! I love your family, and always look forward to a new video! Blessings💖

Oh my heart, what a hard thing to share. You are completely right though Jeannine, we are human and mistakes happen. We need to give ourselves grace when that happens. A hard lesson but hearts heal and it looks like Xander is receiving all of this well. So glad you could enjoy a day together while bringing along the baby. YAY! You did it! What a wonderful area you live in - that train would be something that our own children would enjoy yet, even though they are 11 and 13. Enjoy the rest of your weekend!

That was the cutest video! What a special memory on Thomas the train. Those papers Xander writes out is so smart. He has a wonderful way of expressing himself at all times. Seeing the little puppy and Xander sitting on the steps was so precious.

My youngest is now 14, but when he was around 2 1/2 he was a major Thomas fan, we took him to Oklahoma City to "A day out with Thomas", like your son he was in absolute heaven... it was a bit expensive but totally worth seeing the excitement on his face. I loved seeing your boys face, he is so cute. And the new puppy is cute too.

I so understand the heartache when a pet dies. We have lost many over the years and it isn’t easy but I would not trade it for never having a pup. My children learned so much by having pets in their lives. God bless you and your adorable family.

Zander’s experience of helping raise puppies and passing them on probably helped him get over loosing his own dog easier. He is so precious just taking life as it is!

Awww, we can totally relate to the puppy accident and breaking it to the children and the grief everyone felt.💔we had a kitty accident with our vehicle last yr. 😢 we finally got another kitty this yr, a full sister to our other.❤ so happy Xander has another puppy to fill his arms.❤

Love your content and wholesome vlogs, and I agree with your perspectives on so many things...hugs to you & sympathy for your loss of Bubbles. My family went through several dogs & cats while I was growing up. We loved them all, but they were outdoor animals and not on the same level as humans. Some of their deaths broke my heart, too. But they also gave us lots of joy & good memories through the years. (As well as keeping unwanted critters out of our yard.)👍 To everything there is a season...and a purpose...🌿💜

So sorry for Xander's loss of his puppy, I had watched the video when you picked her up. Life is hard and we try hard to protect our children but it is something we all face. It is so nice to see a little happy child, you are doing a good job.

So fun! I know exactly we’re you were because in May we went to the area & stayed in Strasburg while we waited to see David (Fantastic!) at Sight & Sound. We drove around Strasburg & saw the wonderful trains & train museum there. What a great area to visit. So fun to see Xander’s excitement.

You are an awesome mom💙💝 The fact that you feel like you do shows what a good mom you are!! I had 4 kids closes together and was always juggling to make sure they had their individual time and understanding if I couldn't give alone time certain things we were doing was because you knew it would be something they enjoyed. Make sure you take care of yourself!! I just came back from Manheim and I love being up there and driving around. It is beautiful up there.

Oh my goodness! I just loved this video. Took me right back to when my two boys were babies (32 and 35 now). My youngest was a complete Thomas the Tank Engine nut! In fact he loved all trains when he was little. Watching you with your precious boy brought me so much joy and also brought such wonderful memories back to mind. These times when your sweet babies are young will fly by. Before you know it, your beautiful babies will be grown. Enjoy this time while your can. You are a wonderful mom. I think we are all familiar with the death of a pet. Probably the most tragic memory of our childhood. Then our children face it in their time. I'm so sorry for your loss. I hope Sponge lives a long happy life and like a sponge soaks up all the love the children will have for her. Get some rest Mom, you deserve it.

Loved the Thomas the Train outing! I was blessed to see to train ride through your child’s excitement… thank you for sharing. As an old woman, I realize that God uses devastating event’s like Bubbles death to give us an opportunity to teach our children about the frailty of life and death. We probably will not be with our children when they have to deal with our death and passing, but they will remember what we have taught them about grieving. You and your husband are doing a fantastic job as parents. Have a blessed day!

I am so sorry about Bubbles! I am sure that was such heart break but y’all are handling this the best you can I know. I also believe that humans are much more valuable in Gods eyes and so it should be in ours. Thank you for sharing how you view things and for being bold in your faith. Aww I’m so sorry about Bubbles 😢 I cried when I watched that part. I love, love dogs and that breaks my heart. When I was 11 years old, I watched my sister back over our beloved family beagle and I’ll never forget that grief. Hopefully this new puppy will bring lots more joy and make good memories!

What a great day !!! When our dog, Bunny died (cancer) our then 3 year old boy said, "Bunny was such a good dog, God needed her to be with him." Children always amaze me with their logic and innocence. I believe we have to listen to them more, and just maybe the world would be happier and kinder. You have the most adorable little family!

I am so glad you had a wonderful day out with Xander!! So sorry for your loss. My husband had a similar incident with my poodle when we were young. How wonderful you were able to get same breed of puppy so fast. Have a wonderful 4th of July weekend. Blessings!!!

I grinned all the time I watched Xander's excited and smiling face!! He's such a cutie! Thanks for sharing your day with us! So sorry about Bubbles - it's so hard to lose our four-legged friends! We did the same with our daughters for pets that passed - had a little funeral for them. We raised our girls on a grain farm and had lots of dogs; cats; a bunny; hamsters; a parrotkeet, etc. and they learned about life and death. It's hard - Hugs to you all!!
