As a Chinese, especially one who has lived in both Europe and China, I feel that the Western media has been consciously smearing China and not reporting China objectively. This is largely why many Westerners have a negative attitude towards China. However, only if you have actually been to China and lived there you can understand why ordinary Chinese people support the Communist Party so much. Simply because for the vast majority of people their voices were heard, their demands were met, they got what they wanted. They have many freedoms and rights that some westerners don't have.
