Adam's wheel and tire cleaner. You can really dilute it down and still get great results if you spray it with a foamer instead of just a regular misting sprayer.

I clean my wheels and tires with purple power full strength. Works better than any product I've ever tried and it's fairly cheap (especially compared to other stuff that does not work or does not work nearly as well!)

I find that APCs work better on the tires than tire cleaners in general. I also find that applying them in a foamer helps a lot.

Was at Walmart yesterday (Chicago area) & they had black magic tire & wheel cleaner & ceramic detailer on clearance for $2. So by default that’ll be the go to as I bought several.

Brian, thank you for your testing. Back in the day, as you may remember, almost every tire had white walls or white lettering. We used Comet Cleaner with a brush & or Wesley Tire & White Wall Cleaner. If a tire is really, really dirty and still use those products. My thoughts on using products is the same as you, use only multi-purpose cleaners when possible. It makes good business sense.

Yep. Comet and a brillo pad in the old days. My dad also liked the cleaner called Soft Scrub. Not sure if they make that anymore.

Super clean. Let sit and scrub twice. Final wipe 50% rubbing alcohol water. Tire dressing will last much longer

Use Blue Thunder from Distinctive Detail (FAB) can dilute to what I want. Spray on and brown just starts running down tire onto my drive

Not the same as it used to be but I used bleche white for like 15 yrs and it was fantastic on tires. Don't use it as much anymore because I use nanoskin wheel and tire, plus you know black magic owns it now. Still, as just a tire cleaner it's pretty good.

I typically use Meguiar's hot rims wheel & tire cleaner in the purple bottle. I can usually find it for buy one get one at Advance Auto for like $6-7 which makes it a great buy. It works extremely well. I also use it on porous plastics to deep clean before applying a coating.

I've had good luck with Gyeon Tire Cleaner, not the cheapest but works GREAT👍👍 303 Tire and Rubber cleaner is also very, very good and quite cost effective 😉 Adam's Tire and Wheel cleaner shouldn't be slept on, turns tires brown immediately 💯

Do a review on the Dura Coating tire cleaner. It’s the best that I’ve seen and I know that their are better out there.

Hey Brian, so I was informed by someone that the browning that happens on tires could also be from the anti-molding agent in the tires. They also said the white chalky look some tires get after washing and drying them is also from the same agent. What do you think? I think it’s definitely possible.

I'd be weary of using a degreaser or something too acidic. Sure, it will seemingly pull all this stuff out of the tire but it can also pull all the natural oil out of the tire. Essentially prematurely dry rotting it.

I don't think that the instant browning you see when spraying cleaners necessarily represents or indicates cleaning power. I have used lots of cleaners like many of your fans over the decades and find that Meguiarrs wheel and tire cleaner clean the best. When i say cleaning i mean the final output of a tire with no browning or dirt present and blooming removed.

All the big names do the same sht. Not too long ago it was Carpro with ReTyre. TurtleWax Wheel and Tire kicked its ass. $5 - $6 @ Walmart.

Superiors Whitewall 1000. 4 out of 5 times I don't have to scrub or agitate. As long as you use pressure washer.

@@chuckg3818 the only down side to both of their products is that you cannot use them around polished aluminum. So there's pros and cons but generally speaking, they are definitely more Pros.

We in Europe use Koch Chemie Green star, Bilt Hamber hd, and some others Apc s. We love also sonax but not this product ( they have a dilutable apc on their Profiline line but maybe not available in US). Sir can i ask? Do you still use on cloth interiors ( i know you don't do may any more) your household products recipe of cleaner's? Thanks again great video

No surprise that a dedicated Sonax tire cleaner failed against an APC. Sadly, I'm speaking from experience. Sonax products do no harm, but don't clean much better than any ordinary soap. But at least they're quite expensive, and widely available.

Brian, I think I'll pass on this tire cleaner and stick with either Adams wheel and tire or Turtle Wax's hybrid solutions in the red bottle. Do have an unrelated question though, is it safe to use a compound/polish like T.W. one and done with a griots polisher and orange pad on an 84 300zx original paint or do you recommend applying by hand or using a different type of product? Love you channel! Oh also, what breed is your "shop dog" and is that his name?

The APC foamed up better which will help lift the dirt and crud. I have High Definition Detail - Breaking Point (Alkaline Gel Wheel & Tyre Cleaner) on order and you can dilute from 1:5 up and it foams up really well to help break down the junk Oh, and the shop manager said stop mucking around on KZfaq and get me some treats 😄
