i always loved your video about the symbolism of the scorpion and how it connects tomshiv and macbeth and lady macbeth; and i think there were more references to 'macbeth' in 'tailgate party', for example, the last shot which shows tom not being able to sleep reminded me so much of macbeth's line 'macbeth does murder sleep'; and during the fight shiv also calls tom a snake, referring to his traitorous nature, while lady macbeth, during the first part of the play, demands that macbeth 'look like the innocent flower, but be the serpent under't', and nurtures that dark side of her husband - it may seem that shiv and lady macbeth's lines mentioning the snake carry opposite meanings, but we all know shiv respected tom the most when he was cutthroat; anyway i love your succession analysis, as i am still obsessed with this show a year after it ended; i also love the way you say 'because' 🥹 keep up the good work!

I love Succession and don’t personally know many of the references, so I enjoy hearing someone who does talk about them! Especially in a way that explains the influences without trying to imply that the writers just created a paint by numbers of meanings and characterisations.
