I love your approach, your transparency. I'm not following Galveston specifically, but a similar program, and the macros are my downfall! It was suggested by my program to use Carb Manager. My gosh, it's so time consuming and confusing! Thank you for what you're doing for us out here.

Yes... I hate tracking macros!!! I used Carb Manager for a while but couldn't figure out something (can't remember now... maybe how to get it to do net carbs, not total.) Good luck on your journey!

You just need to hit the x at the top to exit out of that screen. I can see how that is confusing.

Hello I am a new subscriber and just starting to figure out this way of eating. I have a question. At about the 7 minute mark you are talking about setting the macronutrient targets to 70, 20, 10 but shouldn’t those be the figures on the right since those are the percentages? I believe the numbers in the boxes on the left are grams since that setting is selected. So to me it looks like your settings are 10% protein, 5% net carbs and 84% fat. Wouldn’t we need to adjust the grams for each category in the boxes so that the percentages on the right are 20, 10, 70?

Great question! It is confusing, but there are 2 ways to set up Macronutrients. If you choose the Galveston Diet Settings and fix your ratios in those boxes 70/20/10 (or in the order they have it), you aren't tracking by grams. I believe the %s you're seeing are % of your total calorie goal (which I don't pay attention to). @@MyGalvestonDietJourneyThank you that helps a little but I’m still struggling to figure out how to customize it for what I need. So far it’s not clicking for me. I guess like you said you have to ignore the calories and stick to the percentages but I also want to make sure I’m hitting her recommendations for protein and fiber but I guess I can add that elsewhere possibly. Hopefully I can wrap my head around it eventually hahaha

The macros should be in percent not grams
