A great exercise for intermediate to more advanced guitarists.
These are three variations of a triad arpeggio exercise that I have been showing my more advanced students over the past 15 years. The exercise covers all the seven diatonic arpeggios of the D major scale.
This is a great technical exercise that you can use for alternate picking and sweep picking as well. As the exercise works within the frame of the major scale it can be a great way to work on your theory and fretboard knowledge.

So much better than learning regular scales because they're nicer to the ear and you still learn some theory! Loved this lesson

Kbald many thanks for all the hard work you put into this video! Man when you did the sweeping picking example around 5 mins into the video I thought wow that is impressive!! I don't know if I can ever get to that level of playing but I'll keep trying. Stay blessed :)

Hey Marlon! Thanks for the feedback, really appreciate it 🙏☺️ I originally came up with this exercise about 15 years ago or so when I practiced sweep picking for a few hours every single day. I might actually do another video where I talk a bit more about that technique and how to get it up to speed. Hope you find these exercises helpful 👍🏋️‍♀️
