Transform your standard drill press into a woodworking powerhouse! If you're a woodworker, you know the struggle of dealing with a drill press designed for metalworking. The table is too small, it tilts the wrong way, and there are no fences or stops to help align your work. But fear not! This quick-to-make fixture is here to save the day. With ample space to support large workpieces, a front-to-back tilting surface, and an easy-to-mount fence and stop, this fixture will revolutionize your woodworking experience. Say goodbye to frustration and hello to precision with this game-changing tool for your workshop. There are many models for this type of drill press table, but I had to choose and build the one described by Nick Engler of @ Workshop Companion.

This is freaking brilliant! I will go make one this afternoon. While it won't be my primary table, with carriage bolts epoxied into the base for mounting to the table, and homemade star knobs, it would be a two minute change out at max. The ability to bore angled holes is crucial to several projects I assemble regularly. I have been fighting with my old Delta radial press to accomplish this. Now I see this sweet table on both my daily driver, and the Delta. Heck...on the Delta I could drill angles in both directions...front to back, and left to right (rubs hands together with glee). Thanks for the inspiration! First time viewer, by the way. Earned yourself a subscribe!

Can anyone who uses a sharpie for layout work be considered a serious woodworker? Maybe for a framing carpenter it would be okay...

@jimthesoundman8641, I utilized a marker on varnished wood, which could be easily wiped off later. Since this video is intended for sharing, I aim to ensure all text is easily readable. Avoid fixating on minor details, or you might overlook the bigger picture. Cheers!

@@SawdustSociety I agree, the rules are different when shooting a video. You definitely need to make sure people can see what you are doing. That was sort of a tongue-in-cheek comment, I wasn't really trying to criticize you, it was more sort of making fun of the types of comments that people post on woodworking videos, nitpicking the smallest details, so yes, I agree completely.
