Hi Helen. It’s interesting that today’s video is related to hair as I’ve just made a huge decision to have my very long ,almost waist length hair cut into a shoulder length bob. It gets so terribly hot here in Greece during the summer that I just felt it would be easier and cooler. I have a natural wave so keeping my fingers crossed that I’ll like it! I think the hairdryer looks great and useful for travelling. My eyes are growing progressively sensitive with the passage of time and I can’t actually wear mascara anymore so use eyeliner instead. You always look very elegant and attractive and your new hairstyle really suits you.💖🌸

Hi Helen, enjoyed this video…I have worn makeup since I was 15 and still love to hear all about new products. I am not a makeup or clothes snob having used Rimmel, Maybelline, YSL, Estée Lauder etc. Matalan, George, Gerry Webber, Maxmara….whatever takes my fancy. How awful that people have been so rude to tell you that your eyebrows are too dark….truly unbelievable. Your finished makeup and hair was lovely. Looking good, Helen!! I have super fine hair and not much of it. It takes me like 3.2 seconds to dry my hair. I basically just dry my hair and curl it with a curling iron. I’ve pretty much been wearing the same hairstyle since the 70s, but it works for me. Your hairstyle is beautiful on you.. thanks for the video! 🩷🌸

Gemma from Pampered Wolf is fab, like her honesty about products and she's very watchable. I love eye shadow sticks for a one and done with a bit of bronzer in the crease. The By Terry eye crayons are lovely but on the spendy side. The ELF blush you used is lovely, they're potent but used as you did on the back of your hand, you have more control (if that's the right word). First time I used mine I did end up like Aunt Sally🙄😂 which wasn't the look I was going for tbh. Great video, really enjoyed it. 🙂

Hi Helen, great video. The foundation cream on the palm of your hand is a good trick, thank you. I have been putting mine on a clean old lid from a face cream pot 😂😂 and I took our advice from a video you made by adding the tanning drops to the foundation cream, what a game changer thank you. I used to put the self fan on first and would end up patchy and with tinted fingers 😂😂 So thank you very much.

I put my foundation on by putting foundation in hand and yes I saw Pampered Wolf’s video showing that technique. Just use makeup wipes to clean your hand that’s what I do. I am currently using a Georgia Armani foundation it is very Dewey. I think as you get older a Dewey finish sits better on your skin than a Matt. I too love your videos you keep it real and don’t take yourself too seriously. Lots of good tips x

Hi Helen, this strangely looks like another well known hairdryer which I have. I love the magnetic attachments. I particularly like mine because it is lighter which is a bonus. That said if I could have found something similar at the time and cheaper I would have done so. Haha I have also tried this technique from Pampered Wolf and I love it. It works!! Perfect. Hairdryer seems really good. Do you not use any product in your hair first? I use a L’Oréal product which protects and helps styling as I’m prone to my ends frizzing as I’ve the opposite problem to you with fine hair. I always finish with L’Oréal extraordinary oil which I couldn’t manage without. Love your makeup too.

I agree about putting the foundation in my hand and using the brush it goes on so easily Ty as opposed to using a sponge. It always seems like there is too much make-up on my face when I use a sponge. I also like elf products. I always used Dior foundation but since I discovered elf, I like it a lot and it is so reasonable in price. I also like elf peach blush especially during the summer months.

Your eyebrows are perfect Helen. I did a beauty course quite a few years ago now (I was a secretary in a previous life) and the number of women with blonde or grey hair who used to ask me to bleach their brows lighter! I always said no as it looks ridiculous. I used to mix colours to get a natural colour from light brown/taupe to a darker shade depending on their previous colour. I would also never use black which is too harsh. I myself use a medium brown fine Revolution pencil. I had my brows microbladed a few years ago which I loved but the maintenance is too expensive now I’m retired.

Gosh 110 pound for the hairdryer 😮. I’d love to get one though it looks really good! “Trinny” said she had to stop using those kind of metal brushes as it was pulling her hair out at the front hairline😢 she uses natural wooden ones now as she had hair loss after covid . Just a thought ❤😂

If you have thick or a lot of hair this dryer is really powerful. I don't use those metail brushes very often to be fair. Thank you xx

I use the Maybelline primer too, it's brilliant. I want to have a good look at ELF products, lots of good hype about them ✨

Hi Helen, I too have thick porous hair but find it difficult using a hairdryer as such so just rough dry with Dyson air complete, I don't use the other tools so rather expensive. I have arthritis in my hands so it can be quite painful holding a dryer and brush 😞. Loving the makeup and you being so down to earth with your products. I used to be a makeup snob but it's ridiculously priced so have used a couple of things from Maybeline and also No.17. I think I'll take a look at some of the E.L.F products too. I do find with eyeshadows they go in the crease (hooded eyelids) and find the crayon types stay better on me. I think I need to save up for a Lid lift ha ha ha. Love seeing your blogs/videos.
