Aline I'm obsessed with ur tipsy love letter to the marriott. You are so correct about hotels ahahaha. I used to like the idea of airbnb (before I realized how shitty it is all around for housing) but there's something about the vibe of an entire hotel that you really don't get any other way.

Grew up reading little women as well! I would recommend the 1949 film with Elizabeth Taylor and June Allyson if you haven't seen it (my favorite). Great travel vlog as well :)

Fun trip! I haven't been to Boston in years. Really good editing. Cute fits!. I love hotels tooand especially Marriott. I did however recently book an Airbnb for Christmas for the first time. It was a research project to find one that wasn't crazy expensive. It'll also be my first time staying in a tiny house.

I made the mistake of brushing my teeth while watching Aline’s love letter to Marriott. Almost did a spit take when you asked if there were two hairs coming out of your head 😂 And Michelle asking what the update was 😆 You guys are awesome. Love this vlog, as always.

I live in Beacon Hill! So glad you enjoyed, and actually there's more 20 somethings that live in this neighborhood than you'd think--but also a lot of veeeeeery wealthy older people too--check out Louisburg Sq next time! Hope you guys come back to visit soon :)

I think people forget that Airbnb has never suggested that they are a "cheaper" option, they are just another option for an accommodation. I have noticed this too though (the over saturation and the increased pricing), and that people are upset about it, but it was bound to happen with its growing popularity. I think you just always have to remember when you travel, what your budget is and explore all of the options. It may be worthwhile to stay in a hotel, or have access to a full kitchen, like most Airbnbs. Anyways, it was just a thought or reminder to many, that Airbnbs were never marketed as a "low cost" option.

I think you're right when you say that saturation has changed the game! But a lot of people were initially seeking out Airbnbs due to their more accessible price point vs. the cost of hotels. I mean the word "air" in its name comes from "air mattress." Which is very, very, different from the curated staycations we see today. Totally see your point about the inevitability of the price increase with demand! I'm just glad we're seeing some regulation beginning here in NYC in January 2023 as the housing crisis continues to threaten everyday folks with an everyday paycheck. Wise words about looking at all the options when traveling! We love a savvy researcher!

I have a love/hate relationship with Airbnb. I personally really enjoy using Airbnb to find unique places to stay. No, it isn't always cheaper and it isn't always great for the location economy.

Nicky! Said with love and affection, I don’t think this is a very nice thing to say. Call me crazy but I’ve never watched a video and thought “please customize your mannerisms for me.” That’s a bit weird.
