I actually have some ideas for you and the series if it helps! ^^ I already had my own version of a “if Vince Survived” au (I’ll happily share mine if asked) How’s these for ideas? Just for potential inspiration or different ideas depending how you want the story to go ^^ 1. Vincent is in a semi-coma due to the gunshot and has another depression arc, by the time Vincent wakes up and goes home he finds Rody at his worse (heavily drunk, self destructive) or that Rody was sent to an institution due to him having a mental breakdown 2. Rody helped Vincent home to patch him up and lay low for a while in case Alexandre survived 3. After a while from the gunshot accident they got closer together and Vince casually gains more of Rody’s trust through gaslighting, eventually Rody after a while I can see him taking up babysitting as a side-job 4. (Related to 3) What if Vincent starts to imagine Rody being a good parent? And how convenient it would be as well, so what if Vince surprised Rody with a baby he “found”? It could tie Rody down to both stay home more, AND Vince will have more power over Rody in the dynamic 5. What if- we bring parents into this situation-? 👀 either Vincent’s parents or Rody’s parents, honestly- I headcanon that Rody might’ve been the son of a single mother(due to his overall behavior and less masculine tendencies, especially due to timeline) BUT- What if Vince is the way he is because of his PARENTS? (Especially the cannibal part) I can imagine that maybe he’s mimicking one of his parents by gaslighting Rody to stay loyal to him, to keep him. (Og Vince honestly gave me Yandere vibes but he isn’t active like one, he basically killed the rat and Rody’s ex since he loved them, I feel like Vince especially mixed up between the line of “desire” by thinking his emotions were a desire to eat him rather than HAVE him.)
