Hello Jimmy. I am from Austria Vienna Europa. I hafe get my HudsonStar Greens Mower now and i am very happy. 😊😊😊

My granddad is the one who turned me on to the Hudson star brand he was a aircraft fighter pilot in 1942 not a lot coverage on it though it was called ‘’ The Doolittle Raid ‘’ in Tokyo , he said there where 16 B-25’s ! He they took off from carrier USS Hornet 👍🏻 but anyway …HE ABSOLUTELY LOVES … P.G.A GOLF ! And because of his part in the ‘’ The Doolittle Raid ‘’ his knees are FUBAR 🥹 so he can’t walk his beloved green anymore like he used to so as a thank you to him & his service 🇺🇸 I built him a small putting green in his own backyard 👍🏻😀so he doesn’t have to walk to far the green is just right for his pain threshold. So when it was time think about the management of the grass I could on think of one name HUDSON STAR professional greens mower 👍🏻so I went on my quest.. until one day 1 popped up at a estate sale! Needless to say I jammed over there and put my cash down and took it home ! I was so excited to see his face with his new green and his absolute FAVORITE mower ! As he LOVED to MANUAL REEL MOW ! I don’t know how he got so addicted to manual mowing but that was his thing ! 😂 He said it kept him young ☺ and lowered his blood pressure! So I presented his green and his Hudson ⭐ star and he was OVERWHELMED!!! he cried a little it was so awesome to see him so happy ! he could hardly wait to use that Hudson star ! so we Assembled it and it was getting late & time got away from us so we told him that it was best to mow his green in the morning for safety reasons because he has not so good eyesight now and I didn’t want him to fall or anything so he reluctantly agreed and so the morning came he was up before us all ..lol he was waiting so patiently with his morning coffee ready to MOW ! so we went to the Shed to get the mower and it was GONE ! VANISHED ! HISTORY! and the look on his face broke all of our hearts. I can’t believe someone would do such a thing !!! We think his drugged out grandson took it ! As he looked Hudson star up on line and seen how much they’re worth !!! 😡 So me not being that that well off and plus the money I spent on the green itself at this point I cant replace the Hudson and I don’t think I will find another one at the price I paid 😞so now I’m working 2 jobs trying to save up until I get enough money together to make his dream COMPLETE! I don’t care what ITS GOING TO HAPPEN ! Once I replace the Hudson star I will record his first mow and throw it up on KZfaqs ! ☺👍🏻

Interview was well done. I actually looked into buying one before buying my Allett. Around the same price and at the time thought it was crazy to spend that much on a manual reel mower. Already have 3 of them with different mods for striping. Now that I see how well they are made and perform 3 years later it is a nice option and investment. Like the idea of the 8 blade for HOC's of .5 - 1.25". Wonder what they will sell those for ?. I guess I will stick with my Liberty 43 with 6 and 10 blades for now.

GREAT VIDEO! There’s definitely a market for a quality reel mower for the homeowner that’s a lawn enthusiast. I’ve had the experience of talking with two representatives from Hudson Star… professional/excellent customer service! I plan on purchasing a Hudson Star reel in the near future. It will be nice not to have the hassle of using gas, oil, filters, spark plugs, broken starter cord…etc. also If battery power seems appealing, think again. The cost of replacement batteries is absurd & waiting on a battery to charge is inconvenient to say the least. Never mind the failing battery charger & the ever diminishing battery cells that lose full charge capabilities within months.

As a residential homeowner (approx. 6,600 sq ft of lawn), I don't really care for the putting green. But I would love to see a product aimed specifically at homeowners. That cuts anywhere from 1/2 inch to 2 inches or there abouts. Though I am biased to my southern hybrid Bermuda lawn. And I do own a Mascot manual reel mower, traditional gas & and EGO walk behind. They all have their purpose for my specific lawn needs. And the current pricing is pretty steep...but I can always dream. LOL

I talked to Brian yesterday and he was very helpful. Looking to buy the classic for my lawn. Just wanted to know how easy it would be to push if I don't have a golf green surface/ I have a Fiskars and it is abit hard to push. The cut is not bad better than a Sunjoe electric. So want to get to the next lawn cutting level. I wonder if the grass catcher should be a thin frame and mesh to catch the grass.

I would love to own a Hudson as it is the mower that just makes sense. Unfortunately I need to cut a little higher than 3/4”. Otherwise I would have bought one yesterday.

Looks good. How would they perform in the pacific north west. Wet grass here for a lot of the year. I do love my tru cut. Gas is where it’s at around here.

I just ordered me one. I can't wait to try it out. Also, I'd like to see this bramd go toe to toe with Allett one day. I also chose a push mower because i want to use it as a form of cardio. I DON'T like to do cardio and this fixes that for me because the end result is two fold. One, my lawn looks good, and two, i get some cardio in.

I went to the Hudson Star website. It seems like the company doesn't really want to sell their product. They won't let me just go to their site and buy one. I have to request product info. This is not a good business model for 2022. I want to go to a website click buy and have it show up in 3-5 days. Jimmy, your content is always great.

can I use this mower to maintain my lawn hoc 1/2 to 3/4?

Someone needs to make a video of a trained professional equipment manager like me grinding this unit. Once you’ve mowed sand or tried to maintain a zoysia putting green backlapping will do nothing.

Swardman would be 5K Canadian, Hudson Star $3700 Canadian. No gas, no oil, no cables to break, no spark plug , Made in USA. This is a no brainer. Hudson star is the only way to go. Forget JD, Allett, Cali Trimmer and the rest. So quiet so good.

Wow! $2290 for this lower ! Way too expensive I modified my McClane and it’s works great! Down to .175 with perfect cut Used McClane cost me $400 and mods cost me $150 for parts at big box store Also modified my manual push McLane and it works great.! This is definitely how white people get ahead. They just have some kind of Good Old Boy network.
