Welcome back to Vlogmas! We are fully getting in the festive spirit today with a family trip to London! We are off for a traditional mooch around some of the shops, a wonderful family dinner and a trip to the Royal Opera House to watch the Nutcracker Ballet. A trip to the theatre or to a show at this time of year truly puts me in the Christmas Spirit: there’s something about the music, the late night, the Christmas lights that’s just so magical!

Yes! and I love how she has probably eaten in tons of wonderful restaurants, has worn the most luxurious materials, walked the most stunning gardens, been in gigantic homes and yet, her gratitude and excitement are still sparkling as if she had never experienced these lovely things before. Oh I so enjoyed your video. Last year my husband and I were in London to enjoy all the Christmas festivities. We had dinner at Franco’s, Rules, Wilton’s! And Scott’s. I always do a shopping trip to F and M. Our friends took us to dinner at the Wolsey. It was so good. Sadly the Dorchester was not open to have a Tea yet from their remodeling. I swigaroo myself and bake the "fruitcake" your recipe was perfection, I will love to send you a photo, perfect!!! But, Leonora: you said 200 grams of flour but ended adding 300 grams, wich is fine , I watch and re watch that bit, I add 300 grams and it came out perrfect and I am feeling festive!!!

Oh I think this has been my favourite vlog! This trip is my dream with my daughter when she's old enough (I don't think an 18 month old would quite appreciate the Nutcracker...)! I went to the ballet with my family every year and I danced until I was 16. The ballet makes Christmas so magical!

I love your family events ❤ and you’re so good about filming every little bit Leonora, esp in areas where filming isn’t allowed, quite the documentarian and filmmaker 😊 and I particularly enjoy your lively commentary. The only thing I would suggest is to include more descriptive vocabulary aside from beautiful and breathtaking and scrumptious…of course I love it when you do say these things, but a more varied descriptive vocabulary would make your commentary even more engaging ❤

Have a wonderful and safe An Airbus 380 is on its way across the Atlantic. It flies consistently at 800 km/h at 30,000 feet, when suddenly a Eurofighter with a Tempo Mach 2 appears. The pilot of the fighter jet slows down, flies alongside the Airbus and greets the pilot of the passenger plane by radio: "Airbus, boring flight isn’t it? Now have a look here!" Sooo wonderful! A family excursion with festive shopping of luxurious bits and bobs in gorgeous stores, a yummy dinner and then the best Christmas tradition ever... “The Nutcracker” at the Royal Opera House! It’s difficult to not thoroughly enjoy such a classic ballet! The costuming is always resplendent and it is truly one of Tchaikovsky’s masterpieces that will forever remain a favorite! And as an ex-ballet dancer, I absolutely adore the beauty and gracefulness of ballet! I may be a bit green around the edges with envy! I’m so glad you had such a fabulous Christmas-y day with your family! (Heavy sigh of vicarious bliss!) 🥰❤️🥰 Merry Everything! 🎄❤️🎄

So lovely to see the family. I love family traditions, my son is a dancer who has performed the Nutcracker for many a year, could not have a Christmas without it. My favs from Fortnums that I cannot live without, Rose & Violet creams, always present at the Ballet, we pass along our row, the Milk selection box, Christmas tea, with licorice and star anise, plus other gorgeous christmasy spices, marzipan treats, fig preserves, and a few other delights. We live in Canada, so we have it shipped for Dec 15th about 😊 Wonderful to see the old Theater in all it's splendor. Thanks for sharing, excited for your next adventure...

I know I live in the US, but let’s be friends! I loved this video! I’ve never visited London before, but hope to someday and see all of these places! What a wonderful day! A dream day!
