A cat can survive 2 weeks in a building that burned down trapped in its walls, the cats eat other small creatures around so it's not the same as dogs as they don't endanger humans.

I am from a country where many people hate cats and you rarely see stray cat on a street, not even bunch of them. I've visited Turkey and Greece and was so nicely surprised how people see/treat cats there. 😊 I feed now a stray cat for little over a year that appeared randomly and so many people living in the whole blocks of apartment criticized me for that...

I live out in the sticks so coming across a friendly stray cat to adopt is kinda rare. It does happen though. Usually they're feral and dont like to get too close.

Also my sister loves cats and knows everything about them so she does care about them so much she can also tell if they are in heat we have so much stray cats near our road and this one cat came to our house and it was in heat and so much male cats were fighting over her so we took her inside and my sister said she knows what being a cat feels like She cried so much when princess our cat died (she had children so we took care of those)

I'm also confused because most people who take care of strays try to fix them and rerelease at the very least to avoid increase in population, but this person is doing nothing about a cat they know is in heat? That cat will eventually have kittens that, if they even survive the streets, will only add to the stray population. I'm very confused on why this person knows enough to recognize these concerning things and does nothing to help. Even if you recognize it but you can't help for whatever reason, why film and upload it??? This makes me sad. Then people are commenting as if she's leading some reverse harem and not literally getting attacked

There are literally dozens of cats, and he feeds the ones he sees. It is not easy to keep a cat carrier to hand or know that a vet will instantly be able to neuter. I have always neutered my own strays that I've taken in but these have been lone males rather than groups of cats, so it's easier to build trust and get the cat regularly coming to the same place.

@@paulf2529 yes, and i appreciate that explanation! Thats why i added if they werent able to do so for whatever reason, im confused why they film it. If there is a cat in heat getting attacked by other cats, i wouldnt intervene because i would get hurt in the mix, but i wouldn't record and post it. I dont like watching a cat be attacked over something it can't control. What kind of content is this, exactly? I'm not saying its wrong or anything, i straight up dont know enough about how to help street cats, i just dont understand what this video is, or rather why

Just last night I discovered these videos and honestly I was blown away on how cats that aren't domesticated instinctively act and their behavior. I don't necessarily think it should be viewed as weird because if cats weren't domesticated by humans at all, this video here is exactly what they would be doing. Like I understand your point but the person behind the camera has no control over the cats either. Feed them and let them do their thing I personally don't see the issue with recording

If I viewed it as more of a nature doc that might help me understand the use of observational recording. Since it's cats in a man-made setting, my brain hadn't considered that distinction. I still do have personal reservations, but I understand it a lot better when I consider that point of view. I appreciate it!! :)
