At 7:10 the second trim path curve I made does not work, it is just a still line while the first one is actually animated.

Hey, first of all, great video, really well explained! I got a problem with the graph editor on the Trim Paths part. It doesn't show the same graph as you, and I can't make that "slow-down" effect. What could be the reason behind that problem?

Hey, you’re probably seeing the value graph as opposed to the speed graph, there should be a small button on the bottom of that window where you can switch between them. You’ll need the speed graph! Dig around a little and you’ll find it. Good luck!

It seems a few of us are having issues with adding multiple shapes and having the trim paths affect all of them. Can you explain this a bit further?

Make sure you select the shape on the shape layer, by twirling down, and pasting it there, rather than just pasting on the shape layer.

Depends on what you're doing and personal preference! After Effects probably has a shallower learning curve.
