In this series you can join me at the craft table once a week for a few minutes of art and craft creativity - between ten and twenty minutes usually. But sometimes a project needs a little MORE than just a few minutes... so in A Few (More) Minutes of Fun, you'll be invited along for a deeper dive into my creative process.
Today I'm playing with collage composition using a few of my favourite things - rusty wire, Distress Ink backgrounds, dried flower stems and Tim Holtz ephemera and die-cuts. I love working in pairs and trios and series, and this video follows my thought process as I balance my collage composition so that the elements are "in conversation" with one another.
This pair of tags developed in a more detailed way than I thought they would, so today's video is longer than the usual fifteen minutes. In the final shots, I have also inked the edges of the tags and spattered some white paint droplets.
Products used include:
Tim Holtz Idea-ology ephemera - Photobooth, Snippets Curator and Number Strips, Layers, Small Talk Stickers
Tim Holtz Sizzix Wildflowers Thinlits
Rusty wire
Dried Aquilegia/Columbine/Granny's Bonnet seedheads from my garden
Golden Gesso
For the tag backgrounds, see A Few Minutes of Fun - flipping stencils with Distress Spray Stains • A few minutes of fun.....
I bought (or foraged!) all of the products used in this video myself.
