I forget that unless you are a Floridian you don’t know about mini season. Going to the Keys every summer as a kid was the best. We always stayed in Marathon. Love it down there!

The video is awesome and it was really beautiful under water! How do you spot the Lobsters among all of the vegetation on the ocean floor? Especially when being towed, like how do you identify them so fast? I remember my dad teaching me to fish as a kid and I learned to weight my lines, bait a hook and clean and gut the fish. Couldn’t recall virtually any of that now, but so grateful my dad invested that time with us. Those family vacation memories - even quick weekend getaways - are the best! Really awesome you know how to do all of that. Thank you for sharing the skill and your private life all at once!

Had PDQ once when I was in Florida and it was SOOOO GOOD!

Are there no sharks in the Keys? We spearfish in Australia and the golden rule is to get the F out of the water as soon as you have something. Sharks wait near you (friends have had them physically nudging their shoulders) for you to pull lobsters out of caves / reef drops and then they take them right off your spear!
