3:55 reminds me of when I went to Beijing two years ago with a friend. Got of the plane, mid July so it was really hot, and got on the bus to go into central Beijing. Got off, really hungry, and found an outdoor restaurant. Waitress didn't know any English, we knew little more than Nihao, so we just started pointing at random in the menu. Waitress got wide eyes and started repeating "ladu! ladu!" to which we nodded without knowing what she was saying. She left and brought back bowls of rice and bowls of about 50% beef, 25% red chilis and 25% green chilis. The old men next to us started laughing, the couple a few metres away started giggling and we just did what any other proud Swede would do - we shut up and ate it, straight faced, with sweat bursting from every pore. Really, really delicious but it was so spicy I think I drank about 2,5 litres of water! Best Chinese food I ate was in Hong Kong though, delicious dumplings! Nice channel by the way, keep it up!

Actually you should try the "白魁老號"（Bai Kui Lao Hao）at the last scene. It has tones of transitional Beijing Style Foods and dishes. You can find it on different locations. so much childhood memories!

Hello, I really enjoy watching your videos. I have one question for you; why do you react in the same way for most of your videos after eating something (saying mhmmmm) and rate you eats with such variation?

That jianbing at the beginning just ripped you guys off. It's cheaper in Tianjin and in fact it's from Tianjin and people who really liked it somehow got it all over Beijing.

Didn't realize how big of a difference the prices of food were in different places in China until the man said that the jian bing was 7 RMB! Ours here in Zhengzhou, Henan is just 3.5.

That Jian Bing is actually called Jian Bing Guo Zi and is actually from Tianjin, not Beijing...

I now see that these Peking/Northeastern Chinese dishes are the closest to the ones served in Chinese restaurants in the West.
