As a lifelong die hard 49ers fan, all the triumphs and heart breaks, that '90 NFC Championship was the hardest, most crushing loss. Props to Parcells, he out coached everybody, and I've always had so much respect for him !

Giants and the Niners what a rivalry nobody played Niners as well as the Giants back then 85,86,and 90 With big blue winning. 90 of course with the help of Craig's fumble. If not for the Giants Niners probably have 3 or 4 more titles. Hell even the 2011 NFC CHAMPIONSHIP was a war thank you Kyle Williams. Niners are still great Giants have to get their act together. We been bad for to long.

@@LDuca, he’s better than Belichick. Parcells took two different franchises to the Super Bowl. Parcells took three different franchises to the Conference Championship Game. And keep in mind that what Parcells accomplished with the Patriots was done while he was feuding with the Patriots’ front office. And lastly, Parcells was never fired from a coaching position.

The 49ers were the odds on favorite to win their third straight Super Bowl even before the season started, they were that good and I didn’t think anyone would stop them. This was Joe Montana at the peak of his powers, he had just won his second consecutive NFL MVP, two of the greatest seasons ever for a quarterback. THE MAN IN THE GLASS by Peter Dale Wimbrow, Sr. When you get all you want in your struggle for self And the world makes you king for a day Just go to the mirror and look at yourself And see what that man has to say. For it isn't your father, or mother, or wife Whose judgement upon you must pass The fellow whose verdict counts most in your life Is the one staring back from the glass. He's the fellow to please - never mind all the rest For he's with you clear to the end And you've past your most dangerous test If the guy in the glass is your friend. You may fool the whole world down the pathway of years And get pats on the back as you pass But your final reward will be heartache and tears If you cheated the man in the glass.

He gets 3-4 more years, with 3-4 more drafts, and they have at least 1 superbowl if not 2. He was building a powerhouse, which is why we ended up having some really good seasons in 2007/2009. But after he left in 2006, our drafts went to shit. Just look them up. It's why we ended up not having another winning season in 2014 until jerry finally took a step back from his overwhelming input on player personnel and we drafted some lineman

Parcell's was drafted as a Tight End by the Lions in 1965. After a morning practice during two-a-days in Training Camp, Parcells came off the field, got dressed and left the facility, never to be seen again. I guess his philosophy was "do as I say, not as I do."

Easy..........Parcells is my favorite coach but his skill at selecting players was dubious. He wanted to trade Pepper Johnson in 1990 in order to draft LB Darion Conner......bad move. Pepper was a 1st Team All-Pro. He didn't like the selection of Dave Meggett....called him a midget.......but he was am integral member of the 1990 Championship team. With the Patriots he wanted to draft DE Cedric Jones instead of WR Terry Glenn. With the Cowboys he wanted to draft DE Marcus Spears over HOF LB DeMarcus Ware.

Anthony G Warfield knows how to use that knack of Coaching psychology. To get results but also to get his players to play hard and play to win and focus.. Stop being like teenager's.. Then he even straightens his coaching staff out from time to time. Go upside their heads too... Everybody gotta listen to THE HEAD COACH!!? because win or lose Head coach gets credit either way.... If ur team goes 3 and 13 they look at the Head coach If you 13 and 3 the head coach gets looked at too.. Just look at bill bellicheck they wanna study his brain after he dies too see what makes it win.. :)
