We are delighted to share the official opening of Washington Old School, a project by Sunderland City Council that has transformed the Biddick School building, vacant for 20 years, into 15 specialist apartments for vulnerable adults.
One of the first residents is Robert Richardson, a 34-year-old from Biddick diagnosed with autism and schizophrenia. Robert's new home at the Old School House provides a stable and supportive environment after time in hospitals and care facilities
We caught up with those involved in the project earlier this month
