i used to work as a denatal assistant years ago. it's so interesting to see the diffenrent techniques the dentists use. everyone had his/her own style. the absoluteley best dentist was an elderly Mexican lady who was able to be extremely kind and calm a patient down in seconds. she was in fact so gentle that many patients didn't insist to have narcotics. she was like a mother

Those massive fillings would be crowns in my mind. Plus I always crown and root canal same day. Saves a ton of time and pts never "forget" to get the crown. I'll also graft many of the ext sites if implants would be considered. Or immediately implant.

This is great! I have always wanted to be a dental hygienist since I was 10 for years, and I ended going to school for dental assisting because there was an opening and a dental hygienist once told me that it would be good to know how to do the assisting because you never know when your dentist needs one and there isn’t one around but you (the hygienist) Now I have recently been thinking of becoming a Dentist. I am actually currently in school for medical billing and coding, which is cool and I think I can be good at, but I think I want more. I wanted to be able to work at home and have a reliable job and still be available for my family. My daughter wants to become a doctor and has been super serious about it for 4 years straight. We bought her a lab coat and a stethoscope and blood pressure cuff (the real deal). I like your videos.

Hey thank you very much for great content. I wanted to give you a question if you dont mind. Do you think if i should consider taking this as my career if i have a neck injury and cant stay with my head bent forward for too long. So the question is dont you have a stiff neck after a work day. As I see most of your day is being with your head bent forward over your patient. Probably a stupid and not so common question, but I would really be happy if i could hear your opinion. :)

What we do to luxate the tooth is to give a figure of 8 motion with the forceps, to expand the socket. It pretty much helps in luxating the tooth And, extraction of RC treated teeth is a nightmare!

I'd say only a small percentage is clinical speed (though I am on the faster end). Most of it is how the office and patient flow is structured, and having patients that have high dental needs which means opportunities for quadrant dentistry.

@@jmey This video shows the technique. kzfaq.info/get/bejne/gt6Wirxo1NXGf5c.html It can take a a fair amount of force. The luxator tip needs to be sharp. The idea is to expand the bone around the tooth. Expand at 2-3 line angles and the tooth will begin to noticeably move. Works really well for the those broken endo tx'd teeth.

it was something that they push heavily in dental school (always flapping) but these is evidence that it can lead to attachment loss in adjacent teeth. I'm sure many dentists will disagree with this, but the other dentists (myself included) will say that a flap isn't necessary
