A few housekeeping notes for this video. 1 - Been having some render quality issues the last week or so, and these should be resolved going forward. If you see any previous videos locked to 720p60, that's why. 2 - I've thrown many more hours into the game on the day of publishing, and my opinions are even more solidified. Legendary Tales is great. Anyways, enjoy the video!

Most likely will be picking this up my only small issue is I wish for more enemy types seems like everyone keeps fighting the same 3,4 monsters

90fps unreprojected and super sharp- brilliant. Deep progression trees and unlocks- very good. Hectic bosses - perfect Shield-bashing! Bonus!! If the only gripe is the battles become a bit samey after a while, I’m ok with that. I was just waiting for review to make sure it didn’t play janky, but def purchasing now. 😊🤴🧙‍♂️

I’m also a punk rocker (drummer) and have found vr very supplemental to the dopamine rush but wanted to ask you what you think if this game now it’s been a few months this since you wrote this?is it any good or wait for a sale?

This game looks awesome. Day 1 for sure. Anyone know if there's a weight limit when it comes to items in your inventory? Watched the whole video but didn't catch it if it was mentioned.

Not weight limit, but slot limit. In the EA there was a stash so expect the same from the full version.

Is the PSVR version any better than the PC version? I want the game, but i have a decent PC (with a Quest 3) and a PSVR2, so want to make sure i get the better version, if anyone could offer advice?

Yeah well, since you also got a PSVR 2 and it just released on there i would think PSVR 2 is where it's at for the devs for now. It seems like a great port and if it sells well they'll definitely grace it with updates

There’s actually a decent amount but they’re hard to find. For whatever reason if you go onto the demo section half of the vr titles that have a demo aren’t listed. I’ve found a good 7 big vr games have a demo tht have never been listed explicitly

100%! It is the deep, custom character, multiplayer fantasy rpg we’ve been waiting for in VR. The fact that it gives me Dark Souls, Diablo 1/2, and EverQuest vibes is just so great.

I think ppl are putting way too much emphasis on this. Think of the current best physics based melee game on PSVR2, Saints and Sinners 2. There are two different enemy types in the whole game. Zombies, and humans. And from what I've seen of just the skeletons in LT footage, they seem to have more variety. Slow ones, faster ones, armoured ones, sword bearers, axeman, archers, pikemen/halberd users etc. In walking dead we have normies, rotters, and fatties innit. 👍The variety will mostly come from movesets, eh. Both ours and the enemies.

@@hiwezart a bit pricy but if there is 50 hours content than I would pay £40 I think. I paid that for Arizona Sunshine 2 and didn't regret it cause that had a meaty campaign and with co op too then should be worth it

I dont hear much about level design, i hear its big but how is it to traverse? It looks bland and boring , is it actually fun to traverse the game in terms of either vista/zones your in

the first time you see an area it’s pretty fun, and luckily after that you can teleport around the map to points of interest so it doesn’t get boring

seems like It's missing something... Like perhaps a reason to play it once the novelty of waving your hands around expires. Is there a story behind any of it. Is it as lame as how dark souls puts the equivalent of one liner quips on the ground everywhere? It'll be interesting to see how the retardit community starts treating this in about a week or 2 more once the hype dies down. Kind of like what happened with D-Day enhanced. Part of the reason why VR Remakes like Resident Evil do well enough, because it has that AAA "story" production behind it. Hand waving isn't a substitute for that and all I'm seeing here is hand waving indie or not, I've not seen a damn thing about anything in regards to anything other than.... You wave your hands around a lot.

This seems extremely basic with little variety in enemies so I'm unsure when it comes to longterm fun and replay ability. Can't stop thinking that it feels outdated for the technology we have in 2024. To me it feels pretty bland with only skeletons or Goblins as enemies almost like a game from 2007 or so. Enemy variety is important in a game where fighting covers a huge amount of the spectrum, also Boss Monsters. I think hell sweeper is better in terms of that than this. Also dungeons look pretty much always the same, would be great if you could walk outside and had different environments like snow, mountains, desert, forrest etc. Could be that I'm just not a big fan of pointless grinding in one and the same environment over and over again. I wouldn't have enjoyed elden Ring or Dark souls if it only took place inside stone walls. I think with today's technology and capabilities, there's potential for way better, more polished and modern games.

It’s a dungeon crawler what do you expect? Also it has more enemy types than you state here! So saints and sinners 2 has zombies and humans what do you have to say about that and that’s almost open world. Also synapse has 2-3 character types again. Swordsmen VR same again. So your rant is totally invalid. It was done by a small indie studio and you are expecting AAA quality? You are Another one of these AAA fanboys who think every single release should be of that standard. Bore off! If you Don’t like then don’t buy, simple! You clearly know nothing about game development! 🍼 Also their is something terribly wrong with jammys review as the game looks in slow motion here when the gameplay is nowhere near this slow. Go to without paroles review and watch the gameplay there. Scored 9.7/10 unyet you think it’s crap. Whatever!

@@Brasslantern007 That's also what I didn't like about Synapse. I know the gameplay isn't that slow I've tested it but didn't enjoy it. I'll keep waiting for a proper RPG. Guess skyrim VR ruined everything else for me. My points above still remain dungeon crawler or not, people pretended it's a proper RPG which it isn't.

Resolution and sharpness have no effect on mura. At all. Kayak and RE8 are the biggest offenders and those are heavy hitters in the graphics department. I've made peace with Mura, but it took a long time

its shockingly shit. feels like an unfinshed snes game AT BEST. no dialouge, clunky menues, absolutely no enemy variation, poor physics, empty levels and next to no indication of what or how to do what you need to do next. severely dissapointed.
