It's great you remind us to expand and experiment with this by ear. Because it's not a rigid framework, this is such a hip exercise. Thank you Kent

My version of "Have fun and play around with it"... If I want to practice walking bass and comping, I can use this exercise and "Invert hands". Play the arpeggio and scale with the L hand, comp the chords with the R hand. You can play that "new bass line" as is. Or if you want the traditional "Roots on downbeats", throw a couple of "Puket-ah-pah"s in to get to the root on time. Walkin' and stabbin' while swingin' loose with an inverted etude! Thanks for the idea, Mr Hewitt.

You create..."Holy Grail" Exercises. I'm going through my books and will get rid of most and start your course. I get 100% for Harmony and Theory exams so Ill read even though I read slow...but I can talk II V Is I VI III II V 1s. But the II V I plots out the whole guitar neck and KB for me. Thanks Kent. I was thinking of doing "Fly me to the Moon" to this. But youve plotted it all. Thanks! You talk A B voicings John Novello teaches...but he is too theoretical and too full on for me.

The advanced phrases you improvise at around 11:00 seem so far out of reach though. Does the book cover how to get there? If not, more videos on this would be great!
