i've spent most of my life alone, and the only things i find worse alone are 1) risky situations (being female and adventurous) 2) nightclubs (because everyone goes in groups of friends so you can't join in; you can dance, but there's no singles to talk to) 3) eating out - go with someone else, you talk a lot and it lasts hours; go alone and you gobble it up in ten minutes, which at eating-out prices is a total waste. Holidays, exhibitions, films etc you get so used to doing what you want to do when you want to do it that you become completely un-pair-able!!! Dreadfully set in your ways! Going on holiday with other people or to museums especially is the worst, or travelling. Also, long term single people tend to study a lot more and be more academic and have more intense areas of interest, eg classical music they'll go to lots of concerts and play an instrument or something; you get a lot more focussed. People in couples or with children will say 'i like films' but they mean they saw Shrek 33 last year, or 'i like classical music' and mean they have a Bach CD, or 'i like cooking' and mean they get takeaway. Don't get me wrong, i'd swap in a minute, but they are so boring to talk to unless you too have grandchildren's birth stories to swap with them. (Men vary less, but men bore me rigid.) You don't have together-fun, but you just don't know what the single-fun is tbh. Cycling for instance, days out - not to kids' places like families or overpriced attractions but really wild or romantic (gothic sense eg castles) or trad (eg gorgeous train journey to quain town) type places. Swimming and sport: i go swimming alone, i used to go to theatre a lot when i lived in london. Everything's an adventure on your own. There's more excitement. It's better for different emotions, not so deep perhaps but more vivid sometimes. Spontaneity: literally say, right i'm going to make up my mind to do something this minute and just do it. Only say no if it's a crap idea. I'm going to go to the gym. For a long walk to that mountain. Cycle to the next town. Buy five random vegetables and make a meal out of them. Buy a manga series part one and read it. Just go. That kind of freedom, you never get again. No waiting for agreement, going 'oh but they won't like it', planning ahead: all gone. Pandemic makes single life more rubbish than it does family or couple, but it's still there.

Having a parter is about sharing your time and life together, but that doesn't mean that you should depend on that person. Take time, that's the only way you can heal your wounds, get to know yourself more, love you own company and then what is meant to be it will be. In my case I stood with my boyfriend for four years, we were going to get married, we had everything planned but one day he told me that he didn't love me and he got tired of me, I guess everything happens for a reason. now Im 29 years old (that happened to me when I was 25) and I feel like that was the best thing that ever happened to me. Im still single, focusing on myself and learning and growing more. Don't worry princess, you are strong, you're going to be just fine!

わたしも…気づけば人生の半分以上だ。 過の方ですが、チョキさんのように丁寧に作ってみると普通に食べれる自分に会えました🎵 直らなくてもいいから、少しでも症状が落ち着くと嬉しいですよね。

私もです！食に関して雑に扱っていたけど、丁寧に作ったりするうちにちゃんと食べれるようになりました。

大学4年の者ですが、今の新1、2年生の子たちはこの環境の中、ほんとうによく頑張っているなあと見てて思います！😌✨ 新しい生活や人間関係をつくることは誰だって馴染むのにエネルギー使いますよね🍀 (ましてや今のせわしない世の中ですし、) お母さんに電話、全然いいと思いますよ？ ほかにもchokiさんの動画を見ることだったり、好きなことでたくさんエネルギー充電しましょ✌️ いきなり長文失礼しました💭

私も大学の半分は友達できなかったけど、最終的には出会うことができました。 焦らないで大丈夫だし、親は心配してるだろうから、親のためにも電話してあげて欲しいな。
