Me as a math nerd 😅 i would say that the bodmas rule also works We shall add before subtracting.... so we get 6 + 4 = 10 and 4 - 10 = -6 So he chose 6 correct but also according to the law of integers 6 does not equal -6 🙃

@@huzefa6421 that's not how it works, using bodmas u would do the 4+4 first and then the - 6 which still gives you 2, it's essentially the same, but the - sign is attached to the 6 so u can't just move it around as u please

I don't think they understand that addition and subtraction have the same precedence, leading them to believe that addition is always before subtraction as the way pemdas is ordered.

Question 18 should have been 2, but since it wasn't listed, the puzzle had to be switching the order of the - with the + to be equal to any of the answers which was the digit 6, but it was actually -6.

Many said about the 19th question, however there should also be a look at the 20th. There is a pattern in fact, just look up. It's going from right to left, which is the opposite of the option B. The most accurate answer would be option C. Also, every other does follow the same pattern, just in different directions. The right one goes up, the left one goes down and the down one goes to the right.

I'd say many of these questions are far too easy for a IQ test. But I'm not disappointed because I didn't expect an accurrate test from Bright Side in 13 minutes.

@@ElizabethBrendaLo I just meant that an IQ test doesn't have basic alphabetization on it, that's all. The test definitely had some difficult bits because of the time limit. It made it more difficult to get some of the more complex puzzles. I got a couple of those wrong (for lack of time). These questions might be on a real IQ test but with more time than 7 seconds to figure out.

Lol. I didn't realize that 19Q had a formula. Since the prev number was 54, noticing the sequence I just split 54 as 5 and 4, and added them. Then combined all 3 digits as 594.

I really enjoyed doing the test . According to your answers, my score should be 18 because I was in other opinion about the anwers of questions 15 and 18. BUT: Question 15 could have 2 possible answers: 1. sadness (negative emotion) which is different from the other 3 (positive emotions); 2. hope - verb vs. the other 3 - nouns (every three of them ending in -ness). I also think that there is a mistake in the anwer of question 18. It should be 2.

Loved the test but I really think you guys should review Q15 and Q18. On Q15....Hope is more substantive than an emotion or as a verb, it would be more akin to I wish. Then on Q18....the answer should be 2. The eight ball is 4, the eye is 6, and the diamond is also 4.

Wrong. Emotion is defined as a conscious mental reaction (such as anger or fear) subjectively experienced as strong feeling. Hope IS an emotion, you can feel hopeful, just like anger is an emotion, you can feel angry.

10:10 It's actually 2. 11:15 The correct answear is actually C. B would come first in the pattern row. 8:30 It could be hope as the other three are mental states but hope isn't really. Further more a, b and c are 7, 8 and 9 letters, while d doesn't fit in the pattern.

11:15 Yes, the correct answer is C as the triangle shapes are moving / sliding slightly counter-clockwise each time. The answer B would be the state prior to the start of the sequence. The video is wrong to say B is correct.

In 10:21 has the wrong answer. It is actually two. Cause if a diamond is 4 and an eyeball is 6 and an eightball is 4. So the equation is 4-6+4 =2. And yes it is kind of confusing that the diamond has the same value as the eightball.

For q13 you could think of the shape as 2 squares, the square that has all four numbers already filled in (5, 5, 6, 1) The one that has the same number [in this case 5] the other two numbers subtract to get that number (the larger subtracts the smaller) Thus, for the other square (4, 4, 7, ?) The number that has the same number repeated twice (4) You would subtract 4 from 7 (7-4=3) Therefore the answer could be 3 :') Happy thinking!

another explination for Q19 is to split the two digit numbers, add them togheter and then put the added number in between the two you split. Like the first which is 15, 1 and five makes 6, so the new number will be 165. This works with them all. Next one, 297. 2+7 is 9 so the three digit number will then be 297 and so on. So no need to multiplie.

on q 19, you can arrive at the correct answer of 594 by adding the previous 2 digit number together to placing that sum in the middle of the previous 2 digit number to create the new 3 digit number. much faster than multiplying by 11 in my head.

If you add the cost of the dress, which is $775, to the cost of the belt, which is $55, you get the total, which is given in the problem as $830. To solve this in a limited time, you can automatically exclude answers c and d, because both of them are less than $720, so they couldn't possibly be $720 more than anything. Then look at the other two answers. $740 can't be correct, because $740 minus $720 is only $20, and $740 plus $20 is a total of $740, which is way less than $830. So, by process of simple elimination, the answer has to be answer a, $775, without even really doing the math. I hope this is helpful.

The part that is missing from the dress must be equal to the price of the belt, see the dress price is 720+price of the belt, we know that the total price is 830 so we do 830-720=110 . In those 110 that are missing we know that the belt and what is missing of the price of the dress are there and that they are equal so we simply divide it by 2 which give us 55, then we add them to 720 and its 775 . So, belt + dress = 830, that means x + (x + 720) = 830 ; open the brackets and add the x we get 2x + 720 = 830 ; take the 720 other side and subtract from 830 we get 110, 2x = 110; to get x take 2 the other side and divide 110 we get 55. Therefore x is 55 or you can say belt is 55. Now for dress you have two ways, either do 830 - 55 = 775 or as we mentioned earlier dress is x + 720 = 55 + 720 = 775. To verify he said dress is 720 more than belt so 775 - 55 = 720 and total was 830 , so 775 + 55 = 830.

There's formula for questions 19 I didn't know Like you can solve it this way😂 Sum of digits 165= 1+6+5=12 297= 2+9+7=18 682=6+8+2=16 Then the potential answers Are 594 or 374 ( because according to sequence we need a 3 digit no.) But we can see that the sum increases from 12 to 18 And decreases from 18 to 16 Similarly In case of 2 digit nos= 15= 1+5 = 6 27=2+7=9 62=6+2=8 54=5+4=9 As there is an increase in the 4th number's sum Then 374=3+7+4=14 594= 5+9+4= 18 So 18 >14 answer= 594 Or Also you can just spilt the digits According to sequence 54 the spilt 5 and 4 answer 594 1st one is long observation by the way .😂😂😂

For the “17 23 16 24 15 25 14” one I did it differently but got the same answer, 23 is 17 increased by 6, 16 is 23 decreased by 7, 24 is 16 increased by eight, 15 is 24 decreased by 9, 25 is 15 increased by 10, 14 is 25 decreased by 11, and 26 is 14 increased by 12

I have realized some errors in the mathematics of this IQ test. For example, 1/3 and 1/4 combined when subracted from 9,000 is 2,000, and $830-$110=$720, which means that the dress should have costed $720. Also the test doesnt even tell the viewer their IQ in numerical form. After several IQ and mental age tests and calculating the averages of them both, I have concluded that my IQ is anywhere between 184 and 400.

I agree about errors. #18 is incorrect and makes no sense. However #11 the dress and belt is correct. The dress is 775 which is 720 more than the belt (775-720=55) So 775+55=830

Also #4 is correct 1/4 of 2/3 of 9000. The 2nd part. 1/3 of 9000 is 3000, so 2/3 of 9000 is 6000. 1/4 of 6000 is1500. Another way is 1/4 x 2/3 = 2/12 = 1/6 1/6 of 9000 = 1500

Both are actually correct because 2/3 of 9000 is 6000, and 1/4 of that is 1500. The Dress wouldn't have costed 720 because if it was 720 more than the belt, so the belt would have been free. If the Belt was $55, then add 720, and you get 755. 755 would be the price of the dress because when you add 55 again, it is $830 and the dress is still 720 more.

The Question 7 is very dependent on the way you see it. He says "book" is the odd one, because the others are parts of the book, but I see it like glossary is the odd one, cuz it's not usually a part of a book, the others are. It really depends on the perspective.

Q 19 I just added the two digit numbers and plopped the answer in between the following number 😂 15, 165 1+5 = 6 so 165 27, 297 2+7 = 9 so 297 You went a whole crazy route to get this answer 😂😂😂😂

i strongly dissagree with question 20 B does not continue the sequence at all C is the closest match the corners are moving in one direction closer to the edges the upside down triangle top left in the middle box is the top middle in answer C and is the top right triangle in the left most box

Q13 funny thing is i got the same answer in a different way 😅 I realized when two numbers were the same in a square. The value of the smaller number is the bigger number -5 so I calculated it that way

Even though I was calculating the intersecting portions... Like for the upper one... Since a rhombus has 4 sides it was 4.. ( 4 adjoining points were calculated of the same)

Especially because Q15 could've been answered a different way. "Which word is out of place" Fondness, Happiness, Sadness, Hope. The answer easily could've been Hope due to it being the only word that doesn't have "ness" at the end of it.

Actually, Q)19 is correct...and the final answer is equal 6. We all know that for solving a math problem ; the first thing to do is solving inside the (□) then moving to □×□ > □+□ > □-□ , So... the last one is "4 - (4 + 6) = 6"

I think you mean Q18. Anyway, it's 4 - 6 + 4 = 2 because in math, addition and subtraction are done left to right. There are no parenthesis in the equation. The eye is worth 6 and the other two are each 4.

Q17, We can immediately cross off C from the board it's obvious it's not allowing us to give an answer that is by itself a decision, So "Some men are kings." would mean that not all men are in fact kings so excluding the further statement/answer a, "All kings are men." And so is the second statement and the one that follows since if all kings have golden crowns then it would be referring to all men which was already proven to be false so it would mean both B and E would be incorrect leaving only D to be the correct answer

@@harnishchunara7064 Me as a math nerd 😅 i would say that the bodmas rule also works We shall add before subtracting.... so we get 6 + 4 = 10 and 4 - 10 = -6 So he chose 6 correct but also according to the law of integers 6 does not equal -6 🙃

@@huzefa6421 @Huzefa You don't do either one preferentially before the other, you do addition and subtraction from left to right in the order in which they come in the equation. Subtraction is just adding negative numbers. If it was written as 4-(6+4) then it would be -6. And a calculator will tell you that the answer is 2 lol.
