My daughter and her family are in Bryson City this week for the Polar Express and have rented a beautiful cabin! I'm just being nosy looking up your town to see where they are. It's a lovely town and I would love to visit there myself one day!

I really enjoyed your tour of Bryson City. We were about 15 years ago. We took our grandson to ride Thomas The Train. He was about 4 and loved Thomas and had quite a collection of the trains from the Thomas books. We stayed at a quaint motel which I don't think is open any longer. The owners were so kind. We were able to walk to town and enjoy some of the restaurants. There were quite a few empty buildings back. I like seeing how it is booming now. We also took The Nantahala excursion train. Our grandson really enjoyed the train museum. We have so many fond memories of our trip to Bryson City with our grandson.

I went there at the end of last year for vacation and try to move there, but it's so hard to find a house to rent. Very nice and small town that is very busy because if not mistaken it caters not only to tourist but all of Swain county. Deep creek is awesome. I could get a job there but housing is a problem, my family is from Sylva and Franklin NC. Thanks for video, feel like I'm still there. We had lunch at Jimmy Mac's, recommended by a local. Perhaps we ordered badly, but our food was less than ordinary. We try to eat healthy food, so no potatoes, no hamburgers. And to be fair, there were other eateries that we did not have time to try. We had one good lunch, and one good dinner. On the train rides, bring your own food and water, as many did. Our box lunches on the train, that they sold us were NFG. You can get good ice cream anywhere.
