Captain Nova (not Capitan) can be found on Netflix (at least, here in the US). It's a Dutch movie with many language options for both dubbed-audio and captions. 1hr, 25 minutes long.

I've watched a LOT of "recap" channels focused on summarizing movies... haven't seen the movie yet (looking to see where I can stream it, if possible!), but if this is as accurate as it is detailed, you've got an instant subscriber! I mean, I'll admit the bar is low, especially if recapped by people who are new to English (or use "auto translate" which mixes up genders and descriptions), and can't accurately edit details, which end up becoming a drain on energy (for viewers), but this seemed thorough and well-put together! I can appreciate how much work went into this.

Thank you. In fact, we have a large team and all the work is done manually, but mistakes are made. The only place where AI is involved is thumbnails and it takes up to 8 hours to create them, because we also have manual work.

No, AI can't do that. It's easy to tell them apart, perfect smooth beautiful voice, monotone, no emotional outbursts, reading errors. On my channel the same voice that reads with errors is a colonized live voice, used when necessary, mostly it's a human live voice.

There's a plot hole at the beginning with the fingerprints. How tf do they have a little girls finger prints on file? What crimes has this child committed? Apparently Europe does this ok then Europe

The Recap is better than the movie. The screenplay places the future in the timeline of the film 'Idiocracy', where humanity's intelligence experiences a steep decline. In the screenplay, elite squads occupy a house without leaving anyone to guard the perimeter, children can enter a maximum-security military facility carrying a giant weapon and walk out carrying a girl on their shoulders without being disturbed, and all of this after hold a researcher at gunpoint with no alarms triggered. The future idiots think that a hologram will be surprising enough to convince someone in the past instead of a more dramatic action, like the display of the Terminator 2's mechanical arm. Only the slightly less idiotic intelligence of a teenager prevents the protagonist from killing the time travel inventor, creating an inevitable paradox. In conclusion, a screenplay that didn't deserve to be filmed.

Um, actually ... I firmly believe us foks with disabilities, particularly wheelchair users, are better equipped to be the perfect space travelers. Walking is highly overrated... y'all two-footers put too much emphasis on two-footed propulsion. Space is the one place where walking is a rather moot point... a qualified disadvantage, if you ask me. Were I a scientist at all, I'd likely be there now ... quite literally on equal footing for once! And hard-pressed to find a reason to come back!

I've seen this movie (and TV series) before. They're just replacing the lead role from male to female. The trend in movie making nowadays. Except its implausible at the least case, down right obscured in others. Especially when the villain is male vs a female. The plot seems written by an adolescent.

Is it just me or why is no one concerned that in the database you find fingerprints of a 12 year old girl. Why would they have fingerprints of a child. If they would find fingerprints they wouldn't know whom they belong to. I am sure that if I would commit a crime they wouldn't find me because of my fingerprints, but because of other details I might have left behind. Example my ID. With that they can only state "Ok, it is someone who didn't commit a crime."

This plays in The Netherlands. Over here it's normal when getting a passport that you give your fingerprint. It's embedded. Can't say I'm too happy about it, but hey that's the rules over here.

This point concerned me too, but then I remembered back in the 1980s, in grade school, kids were fingerprinted as part of some anti-kidnapping initiative in the US. I'm pretty sure those prints are not supposed to end up in a law enforcement database, but the temptation for the state would be overwhelming.

Drilling in the North Pole is a completely feasible plot, considering the deep oil reserves below Alaska and the recently approved Willow drilling Project in Willow, Alaska. Sure, thats about 21-2200 miles from the north pole (for comparison thats the same distance as NYC to Yellowstone National park at the Wyoming/Montana border), but if there were a multi-national coalition backed by deep pockets, they would find a way and develop the tech to do it. Currently the deepest oil well (Perdido in the Gulf of Mexico) is about 8 thousand feet, whereas the North Pole is about 13 thousand feet deep, but if they got the green light, they would develop and drill as fast as they could before the public could bring a stop to it. If theres on thing we need to remember, it's Greed knows no bounds.
