I’ve made several files for Arcane Odyssey, I really enjoy the gameplay loop and I’ve done it about 10 times now. The slowest part of the Bronze Sea’s story are probably levels 10 - 40, but after that the story and quests are very fun to perform and the game is exciting with side content, side bosses, and minigames to perform all the way up to level 125. Since this game gave you a good impression, and if you haven’t already, I seriously advise you play the game more, because the combat and story is one of a kind in the modern roblox landscape.

You should definitely play more of this, it gets a lot better after level 40-ish (I hope the early game gets improved in future updates)

the most impressive part about this game is that it was made by an indie developer

Start is always super boring, once you start sailing more and work on magic/weapons it gets super in depth

Also the range of when enemies attack you depends on if you have a possibility of attacking them meaning if you move behind a enemy and are above them they will still attack you so basically you cant attack them without them aggroing on you this is much diffrent from arcane adventures (which is vetex's game he is most known for) where you could stand from a long range and attack them first

For me the early levels of the game being slow is fine. Personally I enjoyed the experimenting and learning phase. Taking your time learning, getting used to the place.

Definitely check out Neon Knights, the story is simple, gameplay is simple, but yet so full of love. It's still in beta and in need of polishing, there's a few bugs here and there, not really game breaking though. Though I did have a problem with one of my friends taking a bunch to load in the game. If you can get a bunch of friends to play with you, good, if not, solo is good as well!

game is amazing but early game is painful. especially when u have already progressed a slot before and now u gotta do it allll over again. the story becomes interesting and ramps up fast right after frostmill.

This game is not the best quality but it has one of the best game designs and gameplay ive ever seen. The countless builds you can make... Pvp has so much freedom to it, so no god damn infinite one shot combos... The lore itself is amazing too!

By far the biggest complaint I have with arcane odyssey are the bosses after lord elius. There’s just not fun, except for maybe Argos but Calvus, Carina, and Elius are horrendous to fight against for the level you would be at.

the concept of the game is great, but some of the stuff are implemented in such a horrible way that everytime i make another slot or account, i need to rethink atleast once over wether i should actualy play the game again. The level locks are a f*cking nightmare, they seriously had me beating bandings until lvl 40 or completly scavenging for exp crumbs on sailors lodge. I could have kept selling cargo but the sheer amount of bugs (such as not being able to place down the cargo you're holding and therefore having to leave/reset to fix it, losing your entire cargo along the way) really turned me off on that. The combat is annoying and unbalanced, which is a surprise cause i really like non stun combat. A lot of moves are completly slow to actually fit the somewhat fast paced combat, this issue is really apparent on bosses or players with speed potions, that can tp around or move quickly. Moves like crash from fighting styles being basically useless cause anyone with one finger can dash away(Unless you're stun build lol). This issue wasnt that bad on the release of the game, but once potions and dodge reflex came out the pvp became a unfun mess that consists of dashing around and spamming attacks with basically 0 skill at all. there are also the builds that consist of the most reta*ded braindead combination that is basically a free win if you know how to play. So overrall, the combat is pretty bad. Theres also the replay ability problem, which is more of a me thing, but i'll say it anyways. Magic and Fighting style customization sucks. The fact that every single magic is basically the same apart from damage, speed, aoe and status effect is really annoying. BUT, i completly understand why, since it says on the game that its called "BASIC" magic for a reason. But, it doesnt excuse the fact how boring the customization is. Atleast in Arcane Adventures(the game that came before World Of Magic that came before AO) some magics had something different from each other, for example, lightning magic blast spell was a thunderbolt that was much harder to aim but faster to hit. Light and Flame had different ultimate spells that consisted of a barrage of fireballs/light beams, while Water would cast 2 water bombs. These are really generic changes but they still gave some sort of uniqueness to each magic in a certain way. Unfortunaly, AO has none of that, all magics are the same. Even then you can still excuse the magic system since its basic magic and that will change overtime(hopefully). But what i dont understand is, why the f*ck are fighting styles the exact f*cking same apart from different buffs? I do not understand, why the f*ck they thought it was a good idea. Alright alright, lets take base combat: Really generic, consisting of a dash attack, a slam, a grab move that leads into a barrage, a projectile and a transformation that buffs you. This is great, even though its generic it completly fits considering its your basic combat in which everyone should be able to use. Now, when you get a fighting style, you expect it to be different, more.complex, to actually feel like a fighting style. But NOPE, they are all the f*cking same, they legit change NOTHING about it apart from specific buffs that each style gives. Like jesus how the f*ck and why did they make thermo fist the exact same as sailor fist? why did they make boxing simillar to sailor fist and thermo fist? Why the HELL is IRON LEG, a LEG STYLE the exact same as every other FIST STYLE apart from the animation and buffs? Like, does vetex not know what a fighting style means? the idea is to have a specific style OF FIGHTING. If thats the idea? then why the hell are they the same. Like, did fighting style trainers start up a convo and went like: "Ahh yes, maybe we should teach people the exact same style but with different buffs to make it look like every style is unique even though its f*cking not"?. This completly kills the entire experience and variety that every build should have. And it gets even weirder when you consider the fact each Weapon has its own unique moveset(well, most of them). I cannot see the issue, im sorry. i dont need to elaborate any further, and honestly i dont want to, the game has amazing concepts but deliver them really poorly. Ao is the type game where you finish it once or twice and then never touch it again unless you're really into builds(in which i cannot understand why you are, the combat sucks). TLDR: Game could be good if it wasnt for vetex poorly developing it.
